LAST GOODBYE
ROYAL fans were left in tears yesterday as the Queen's treasured horse Emma waited for her coffin to arrive at Windsor Castle in a nod to the late monarch's love of the animals.
Brits watched as Emma the pony stood amid a sea of flowers left by adoring subjects as the sombre procession pulled into the estate yesterday afternoon.

The late monarch was reunited with her beloved Prince Philip at a solemn service in Windsor following her moving funeral at Westminster Abbey yesterday.
Thousands of mourners lined the streets and Long Walk to say their last goodbyes to Her Majesty, while tearful members of the Royal Family followed behind.
Waiting for the procession within the gates was Emma - who lifted her leg as the Queen's cortege passed.
The Queen's beloved corgis Muick and Sandy were also stood patiently waiting - leaving emotional Brits reaching for the tissues.

Royal fans watching the procession noticed that Lady Louise, the elder of two children born to Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex and often dubbed the Queen's favourite grandchild, was seen looking emotional at Emma.
Many hoped the pony would be passed to Lady Louise to look after.
One tweeted: “I’ve been thinking about all 3 of them. I hope they’re alright. Maybe Lady Louise will take care of sweet Emma.”
Another added: “It has been said that arrangements were in place from day 1 that the corgis would go to family members. Emma is 26 so maybe she will just continue to be cared for by the same staff. Otherwise we think Lady Louise might adopt her or Princess Anne. Lady Louise owns Emma’s grandson.”

A third claimed: “We think maybe Lady Louise will be inheriting Emma the pony. We know she likes to ride and often went riding with her gran.”

Lady Louise, 18, who is enrolled at St Andrews university, looked the picture of elegance yesterday as she joined her family to pay her respects to her late grandmother.
The teenager has been described as a "secret weapon" of the royal family and is said to have taken on the important role of encouraging an interest in art in seven-year-old Princess Charlotte - the daughter of Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales.
A royal source previously told The Sun: "The Queen loves the fact that Louise and James relish their time at Balmoral, and she has become particularly close to Louise, who seems to have become her favourite grandchild, closely followed by James.
"Louise also endeared herself to everyone by looking after William and Kate’s children when they were up here.
"Louise loves drawing and sketching and was very patiently trying to get Charlotte to do pictures of rabbits and deer."
The late monarch was never happier than when at the racecourse during her 70 year reign.
As well as going to the races, the Queen loved to ride her own horses.

In June this year, she managed to get back in the saddle and went for gentle trips in Windsor — nine months after she was told to quit.
The Queen was known as a keen horsewoman since getting her first pony aged three in 1929.
