She also recalled an unfortunate situation that left her feeling really uncomfortable.

Catherine claimed that brothel staff are used to seeing celebrities come through the doors, “some of which are regulars who enjoy the discreet nature of the service we provide”.

Not only can celebrities “really let go and enjoy themselves away from the public eye”, but one of the most unexpected moments occurred when she laid eyes on a well-known politician.

She revealed: "I've learnt over the years that the celebrities we see on television and in the press aren't always who they really are behind closed doors.

“However, we had an extremely conservative politician whose whole career is based on him preaching about the importance of marriage and traditional family values.

"He spent the night drinking and fully enjoying himself in the brothel. That one did shock me."

Catherine also revealed how clients can develop serious affections for the workers, as she discussed one particular regular who began seeing one of the brothel members of staff very frequently.

This patron began showering the woman with lavish presents and even spent tens of thousands of pounds on her every month.

But it turned out that he couldn’t afford this in the long term, which eventually led him to sell his home to fund his unsustainable habit.

Are brothel's legal in the UK?

There has been a growing debate in the UK about whether brothels should be legalised, following the emergence of pop-up brothels across the country. These temporary establishments, often set up in residential areas, have sparked concerns among local communities and law enforcement agencies. The current legal framework in the UK criminalises the operation of brothels, but individual sex work is permitted. This has led to a complex and often problematic situation for those involved in the industry.

Advocates for legalising brothels argue that regulation could improve safety and working conditions for sex workers. By bringing the industry out of the shadows, they believe that sex workers would have better access to health services and legal protection, reducing the risks of exploitation and violence. Furthermore, regulated brothels could be subject to health and safety standards, ensuring a safer environment for both workers and clients.

On the other hand, opponents of legalisation worry that it could lead to an increase in human trafficking and exploitation. They argue that normalising the sex industry might encourage more people to become involved in it, both as workers and clients. Additionally, there are concerns about the impact on local communities, with fears that legalised brothels could lead to an increase in crime and antisocial behaviour in residential areas.

As the debate continues, it is clear that there are no easy answers. Balancing the rights and safety of sex workers with the concerns of local communities and broader societal impacts remains a complex challenge. Policymakers will need to carefully consider the potential benefits and drawbacks of legalising brothels in the UK, taking into account the experiences of other countries that have taken similar steps.

Catherine continued: "This situation made me feel really uncomfortable - he knew that she was a worker and that this was not, by any means, a relationship. She told him multiple times. Yet, he still chose to do it, and he ended up being homeless.

"I truly believe that mature adults are capable of making their own decisions, and even though those decisions might seem stupid or irrational, it is their choice. However, this was one of the very few cases where I genuinely wanted to intervene."

But that’s not all, as Catherine has also witnessed some other very unexpected occurrences at the club, one of which included dealing with an ant infestation.

As well as rooms being set on fire, she’s also had to face jealous girlfriends tracing their men to the brothel and mediate disputes when they storm into the club.

Catherine has seen numerous married men cheat on their wives and warned that the busiest times for such blokes to visit are between 3pm and 5pm.
