MCDONALD’S is loved just as much for its low price as it is for its tasty menu items.
So fast food fans were left feeling slightly disgruntled when the chain announced that it would be raising the price of some of its classic dishes earlier this week.

Among the sandwiches to become a victim of inflation was the classic Mayo Chicken.
The sandwich had previously been on the Saver menu at 99p but a 20 per cent increase was raised to £1.19 from February 15.
However, if you don’t fancy paying the extra, one savvy home cook has revealed how you can make your own version at home in the air fryer - and says it tastes just as good.
TikTok user regularly shares tasty recipes with his six million followers, and recently tackled a DIY Mayo Chicken, or McChicken as it is known in the USA.

“McDonald’s McChickens might be good but we make them at home,” he explains in the video.
To form his patties, Ahmad adds sliced chicken breast to a food processor seasoning with salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder.
He then blends before forming into patties and placing in the freezer for about an hour.
He then mixes flour and cornflour along with the same seasonings and before and in a separate bowl combines water, cornflour, two eggs and the same seasonings, whisking well,

The cook then dunks each patty into the wet bath and then the dry before spraying with oil and placing in the air fryer at 200 for about 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Ahmad then toasts a bun, slathers it with mayo before topping with shredded lettuce and his patty.
After taking a healthy bite out of his sandwich, Ahmed says: “I’m actually very impressed.
“It’s as juicy and flavorful (as a Mayo Chicken) and it tastes slightly cleaner than the deep fried version.
“This is a ten out of ten sandwich.”
The price increases are McDonald’s new recommended retail prices and franchisees are free to set their own product pricing, but typically follow the company’s lead.
To help cushion the blow, McDonald's is also set to launch a budget range known as Saver Meals from February 15.
This will include bundles of some of its burgers with sides and a drink.
