Kids and teachers share their excitement at having six weeks off… but spare a thought for the poor parents

SCHOOL’S out for a very, very long summer.
While this is great news for kids and teachers, it’s not so exciting for the poor parents who have to keep their little ones occupied for six weeks.
As the end of term bell rang yesterday, people took to Twitter to share their opinions on what the holidays mean to them.
Chuffed pupil Emma McGann shared a video of Pocahontas waving in the wind, along with the caption: “You did it guys. Today is the final hurdle! Wave school goodbye for the Summer #schoolsoutforsummer.”
Jennifer B posted a comical meme of English comedian and political commentator John Oliver dancing around while dozens of rainbow-coloured balloons fell from the ceiling.
She captioned the clip: "Last day folks! We made it!!! #summerholidays #schoolsoutforsummer."
A fellow student called Jeanne shared a throwback clip of Will Smith dancing around his bedroom in the sitcom, Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
She wrote: "Yassssss 6weeks #SchoolsOutForSummer."
Teachers have been sharing their student's delight with a bunch of laugh-out-loud social media posts.
Michael Clarke shared a funny video of a man dancing out of a classroom.
He captioned it: "#schooloutforsummer Teachers be heading out of school like..."
Shaun Richardson was overjoyed to have a month off, writing: "Last day of work for 6weeks #schoolsoutforsummer."
Meanwhile, a teacher called Mrs Banjo had clearly been counting down the days to her break.
She shared a clip of actor Jonah Hill in hysterical excitement, and wrote: "Last day at school! #schoolsoutforsummer #tiredteacher."

But not everyone is looking forward to the holidays.
Rachel Hawkins posted a meme of a man waving a "moral support" banner, and wrote: "We can do this fellow parents. We've got this #schoolsoutforsummer."
Christie Barlow's video of a toddler throwing cash out of a window will resonate with all parents.
She wrote: "The next 6 weeks of my life goes like this... 'Mum, have you got any money?!' #schoolsoutforsummer."
Suza Pelta commented: "So I've finally reached the last day of school! Looking forward to a summer of 'I'm hungry' & 'I'm bored' on repeat #SchoolsOutforSummer."
Vanessa shared a hilarious shot of her partner lying on a bed with his head hidden underneath a pillow.
She wrote: "Husband resumes position for next 6 weeks... if only he didn't have a 2 year old to get up for #schoolsoutforsummer."
PendletonNW shared a comedy clip of a woman glugging back a massive glass of white wine.
They wrote: "To all the mums & dads out there - our thoughts are with you over the #summerholidays & remember it's only 6 weeks!! #schoolsoutforsummer."
School holiday dates in the UK can vary between the different local education authorities.
However, most children in England and Wales will broke up for the summer holidays on Friday, July 21.
They will then enjoy six weeks off school before returning in early September.
In Scotland, the holidays started at the end of June, and kids will go back to school in the middle of August.
