However fans will be disappointed, because after just weeks on the menu they have officially been removed.

Before the official Easter celebrations even start to begin - the controversial product has incredibly sold out nationwide.

And you won't be able to buy them anymore.

But not everyone will be sad because the collaboration between Domino's and Cadbury was branded "disgusting" by Lord Bethell of Romford.

Money

He said: "This is disgusting. A whole Cadbury cream egg in a Domino's Cookie.

"These are serious corporate food companies. What are they thinking?

"The executive team, the board and the shareholders should be ashamed of themselves."

A spokesperson for Domino's said that their customers tend to share their cookies and added that they are no worse than many other high street treats.

They said: "These special edition cookies bring together two much loved, iconic brands and are designed to be a delicious pre-Easter treat which can be shared.

"At just over 370 calories per cookie, they are in line with the content of many other treats available on the high street such as frappes and croissants."

Louise Pilkington, Director of Innovation at Domino's said: “This
year, we sold over 1 million cookies, which were eaten up in a matter of just 30 days.

"What a cracking result. It's incredible to see our customers' passion for these limited-edition treats hasn't dimmed since last year.”

While the limited-edition cookies are currently no longer available, fans are encouraged to stay tuned for another exciting spin on the pizza company’s beloved cookies,

Which is anticipated to hit their menu later this year.

Meanwhile, th pizza giant has also introduced smaller 600-calorie pizzas and wraps for under 450 calories.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs...

Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars.

Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

It has also launched vegan dishes, adding: “We are serious about our role in helping customers manage their nutritional intake.

"And maintain a balanced diet with less sugar, fat and salt, as well as fewer calories.”

Meanwhile, much loved baker Greggs is ready to take on Domino’s and the pizza kings with a massive menu shake-up.

The high-street bakery giant launched an all-new Veggie Feast Pizza, which hit shops nationwide last month.
