HGV test examiner applications quadruple thanks to our Keep on Trucking campaign

THE number of HGV test examiner applications has more than quadrupled thanks to The Sun’s Keep on Trucking campaign.

We put out a call to fill 40 of the vacancies to keep shelves stocked.

About 3,000 new drivers take their test each week but the examiner shortage has meant thousands having to wait.

The DVLA said our campaign led to “a 340 per cent increase”.
