Brian Pillman’s wife Melanie shared heartbreaking post about trying ‘to defeat your demons’ only days before death

THE wife of late pro-wrestler Brian Pillman had shared a heartbreaking post about "defeating your demons" only days before her own death.
The couple's son Brian Pillman Jr confirmed mom Melanie's death in a social media post on Thursday.
One day before her death, Melanie Pillman shared a on her Instagram account about being happy with her current "self."
"The glow is when you stop waiting to turn into some perfect version of yourself and consciously enjoy being you are in the present," the post read.
A fan page for her son, who is also a wrestler, commented the heart eyes emoji on the post.
Pillman also shared other "self-care" post in the days leading up to her sudden passing.

Melanie's official cause of death hasn't been released.
In his post, Pillman Jr said: "Her death, while unexpected, was not surprising."
"Her lifestyle choices that dominated the better part of the last 25 years of her life had ultimately caught up with her," he added.

Her heartbroken son also said that he "didn’t have the best relationship with my mother."
"Though my sister and I had recently been in touch with her, working to improve that relationship," he continued.
While the mother and son were trying to improve their relationship, he said that he regretted not spending enough time with her.
"I regret not texting her back even though I had the time to. I regret not trying harder to break her of her bad habits and help her get the help she needed," Pillman Jr in the tribute post.
"Thank you mom for bringing me into this world and for trying your absolute best. You were my number 1 fan in wrestling and on Twitch."
He added that her sharing their family story in the documentary The Dark Side of the Ring was "the beginning of us mending our relationship."
FAMILY WRESTLING STARS
Pillman Jr's father, also named Brian Pillman, was a wrestling superstar during the 1980s and '90s.
His father had stints with World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling and .
Pillman Sr created a legacy as "The Loose Cannon" gimmick, which would see him do a series of work shoots that portrayed his character as unpredictable.
However, a car accident in April 1996 caused extensive ankle injuries, ultimately limiting his in-ring ability towards the latter stages of his career.
By the end of his career, he worked with his long-time friend and former teammate Stone Cold Steve Austin in a storyline involving a firearm and with The Hart Foundation during WWE's Attitude Era.
He died in 1997 from undetected heart disease.
