The 16 year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, claimed in an interview with the Sun that she had groomed her teacher and started the relationship which led to them fleeing to France. The pair ran away to Bordeaux last September, when the girl was 15, fearing their sexual relationship was about to be exposed. Forrest, 30, was jailed for five-and-a-half years for child abduction and five charges of sexual activity with a child earlier this month. See PA story COURTS Teenager. But he has now reinvented himself as the head baker at an artisan outlet by day — and is frontman for a rock band at night.

The former music teacher, who was married when he ran off with his student, has also got hitched again and is going by the name Jeremy Buonocore.

Jeremy, who worked as a chef in Ashfield prison, was spotted leaving his new job at a bakery in Kent wearing a white baker’s apron this week.

He carried a large Primark bag and has added to the collection of tattoos on his arms and hands.

A bio on the bakery’s website says: “(Jeremy) is proudly a 5th generation baker, learning everything he knows from the experienced bakers that have passed down their tried and tested methods.

“He was promoted to Head Baker, thanks to his extraordinary passion for sourdough, hard work and commitment.

“He never stops learning about the process, care and attention that goes into making the perfect loaf.

“Jeremy loves his dogs and a sing-song — he plays guitar and lead vocals in a band that regularly gigs!”

The bio does not mention his teaching career and instead says that he spent most of his working life at his family bakery.

Jeremy hit the headlines when aged 30, he eloped, leaving his wife and dream job behind to be with his student.

The pair — who were reported under the pseudonyms Jack Dean and Gemma Grant — sparked an international manhunt when they went on the run for eight days.

The UK search came to a halt after CCTV footage was released of them embracing on a ferry from Dover to Calais.

Jeremy, who is originally from Inverurie in Aberdeenshire, was then recognised by a barman in Bordeaux who he handed his pictured CV to in a bid for a fresh start, leading to his arrest.

He was later convicted at Lewes Crown Court of child abduction and five counts of sexual activity with a child and sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison.

Alongside his punishment, he signed the sex offenders register for life.

The student initially vowed to stay by her teacher’s side, but the pair were forbidden from communication and in 2013 it was reported that she found love with someone her own age.

She said after his arrest in 2012 she did not see him until he appeared in court.

But since he was released from prison after serving half of his sentence, she revealed that she had messaged him on Facebook, and he replied.

“Since Jeremy’s release from prison, we have only spoken once, about a year ago, after I messaged a Facebook account with his name that came up as a suggested friend,” she wrote.

“He sounded the same and, importantly, happy – he even had a new girlfriend.”

Forrest declined to comment when approached by The Sun on Sunday at his £500,000 three-bed home in Kent.
