THE WIFE of missing British billionaire Mike Lynch has been rescued after her yacht was involved in a devastating incident off the coast of Sicily.
Angela Bacares managed to escape after heavy storms and a tornado caused the vessel to sink over 160ft to the bottom of the sea, but her husband and daughter remain missing.
Who is Mike Lynch's wife Angela Bacares?
Angela Bacares, 57, is one of the people rescued from the Bayesian superyacht which sank off the coast of Sicily in August 2024.
She was born in April 1967 and is the wife of tech billionaire Mike Lynch.
He’s often dubbed Britain’s Bill Gates, and between them they share an incredible amount of wealth.
Angela has been seen at various social events alongside her husband.

What does Angela Bacares do for a living?
Angela holds shares in Darktrace, a British cybersecurity firm she co-founded with her husband.
She was named in 45th place on the Evening Standard’s Tech Rich List in February 2024, which lists her net worth as being over £190million.
Darktrace was set up in 2013 by her husband Mike and trades on the FTSE 100 index.
It reportedly uses self-learning artificial intelligence to keep clients safe from cyber threats, including ransomware and cloud attacks.

Angela has reduced her stake in the firm from 5 percent to 3.6 percent.
According to Companies House, she was also a director of Bunhill Partners alongside her husband until it was dissolved in 2021.

She was with her husband Mike and their daughter Hannah, and described how she was woken by the vessel tilting to one side.
Angela explained that she and her husband weren't concerned at first but upon further investigation, the sound of shattering glass sparked panic.
She had to painstakingly climb over broken shards to get out of the yacht as it went down.
Severe cuts to her feet meant she had to use a wheelchair after she was rescued.
Torrential rain and wind battered much of the Porticello port in Palermo - striking the 183ft superyacht with swirling columns of air that formed waterspouts.
At 246ft tall, the mast of the boat is the world’s second highest.
Witnesses said the twister snapped it clean in half.
Others told Italian outlet Ansa that the anchor was down when the storm hit on Monday morning, causing the ship to lose its balance.
It’s since emerged that Angela is the registered owner of the vessel.
