ANTI-SEMITISM STORM

Labour’s Peterborough by-election candidate likes ‘May is a Zionist’ post and sparks anti-Semitism row

A LABOUR by-election candidate has sparked a new anti-Semitism row by liking a Facebook post saying Theresa May has a “Zionist” agenda.

And wannabe MP Lisa Forbes is facing calls to stand down from Thursday’s crunch vote in Peterborough.

Jeremy Corbyn was urged to act after she appeared to endorse the social media post.

The union activist, who liked the message in April, is campaigning to replace disgraced ex-MP Fiona Onasanya, jailed  for lying to avoid a speeding ticket.

Ms Forbes apologised “wholeheartedly”.

She said she had liked a video of kids praying after the New Zealand mosques terror attack — but failed to  read the words about Mrs May alongside it.

In another post, she wrote she “enjoyed” a thread that claimed ISIS was created by the CIA and Israeli intelligence.

The Human Rights Commission launched a probe into Labour after Corbyn ally Pete Willsman was suspended for saying Israel “whipped up” the party’s anti-Jewish scandal.
