BARCELONA star Samuel Umtiti skipped his side's Joan Gamper trophy celebrations after being booed by his own fans.

The Catalans are in crisis with six-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi having left the club.

Barca could not afford to keep the 24-year-old and he is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain.

And the Spanish club's fans are fuming that some of the other high-earners couldn't be shipped out so that Messi would stay.

Umtiti and Miralem Pjanic were reportedly offered free transfers, according to Goal, but have decided to stay at the club.

Umtiti has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United.

Fans are also unhappy that the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Antoine Griezmann have stuck around despite struggling to impress.

And as he entered the game against Juventus, Umtiti was booed by some of his own fans.

He was then jeered every time he touched the ball.

Spanish journalist reported that the French centre-half was unhappy at being booed and he 'went to the locker room' as soon as the game finished.

TV channel La Sexta adds that the 27 year old was 'really upset' with what happened.

It meant he missed the trophy presentation and subsequent on-pitch celebrations after beating Juventus 3-0.

Memphis, Martin Braithwaite and Riqui Puig scored the goals.

It comes just days after Griezmann was booed by fuming fans as he entered the club's training centre.

The French striker was told it was 'his fault' that star man Lionel Messi has left the Spanish giants.

Griezmann is believed to earn £345,000 a week at the Nou Camp.

One fuming supporter was heard to shout 'Messi has left because of you' as the realisation begins to set in that Barca will have to cope without their GOAT.
