ENGLAND topped Group C despite their underwhelming 0-0 draw with Slovenia.
Southgate's side had already qualified before the match but could now face the Netherlands in the last 16.
England had a goal disallowed with Phil Foden well offside before Bukayo Saka scored but the Three Lions came chances difficult to come by.

Not happy
Some unhappy punters inside the RheinEnergieStadion.
Reports from inside the ground claiming two plastic beer pint cups were hurled in the direction of Gareth Southgate at full time.
It's believed it happened as the England manager went to clap the fans at full time.
Some were clapping back at the Three Lions players and staff but there was more than a few who were clearly very frustrated.

Harry Kane reckons it was a much improved performance tonight, believing England played with more tempo and energy.
He told ITV: “That was the aim, to top the group.
“We played a lot better than the other two games, better on the ball with more aggression and energy.
“We couldn’t find the final pass, the final finish.
“We look forward to the next one.”

They've avoided plenty of the big nations in doing so and it's a kinder path forward from now.
But in truth, these nations will be quite happy to be paired with England at this rate.

Mainoo finds Kane with a great touch and he lays it into Palmer's path just inside the box on the right who has a clear shot at goal.
He doesn't catch it right and it's low and hard at goal where Oblak saves comfortably.
