  • Zubimendi 'agrees' Arsenal move

Arsenal have "agreed a deal" to land Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to transfer insider , the Gunners have agreed to meet Zubimendi's release clause worth a whopping £50million.

Mikel Arteta's team will now have to take "formal steps" to meet the midfielder's expensive asking price.

The Spain international has also reached a verbal agreement with the North Londoners before the end of the season.

  • Exclusive: Real line up Raya

Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya and Brighton keeper Bart Verbruggen ahead of the summer transfer window.

But Raya and Verbruggen would have to start on Real's bench as the plan would be to turn one of them to Thibaut Courtois' long-term successor.

Los Blancos could sell Andriy Lunin who has been happy to cover for Courtois over the last five years.

Nevertheless, landing Raya would be harder to pull off than Verbruggen.

  • Swoop eyed for Chelsea's Santos

Arsenal are planning a surprise move for Chelsea wonderkid Andrey Santos, who is currently on loan at the Premier League giants' sister club Strasbourg.

According to , Santos has caught the Gunners' eye ahead of the summer transfer window.

The North Londoners are said to be "hard at work" to get a deal over the line for the midfielder ahead of next term.

But Paris Saint-Germain, who tried to sign the Brazil international when the Blues got him in 2023 from Vasco da Gama, remain strong contenders.

  • Familiar face coming back

Albert Sambi Lokonga will return to Arsenal this summer when his Sevilla loan ends.

The Spaniards have decided against signing him permanently.

  • Merino position revealed

Fernando Morientes has urged Arsenal to use Mikel Merino as a midfielder next season.

He told : “I can’t see Mikel Merino as the starting striker for Arsenal next season, but you can’t rule it out. Mikel Merino's situation is somewhat circumstantial.

“The forwards were injured, there were no forwards, so he showed that can do that job. He's a great attacking player, but I think his best position is behind the striker, as an attacking player, a player does more in the center of the pitch, creating and scoring goals.

“He can play with power, but he shouldn't because his best characteristics are behind the striker, behind the attacker, and he's a player who handles the ball well, with a good final pass. A striker has to be a specialist.”

  • Real agree Huijsen deal

Real Madrid have won the race to sign Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth.

The BBC claims his £50million release clause has been triggered by the Spanish giants.

And Huijsen is now close to agreeing personal terms on a lucrative deal.

He is said to have snubbed offers from numerous Premier League sides to complete a Bernabeu switch.

  • Watkins gets backing

Pennant also reckons Arsenal should target Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins if they want a new striker.

He told : “Arsenal do need a striker. If they’ve got the money, get Isak. But I think they should go back into the market for Ollie Watkins. I think he would be great

“Everyone wants Isak, that’s obvious. But if they can’t splash £150m on him, then go and get Watkins. He’s got an eye for goal, he’s got pace, he’s an international and I think he would work well in Arteta’s system.

“He can link up play. He’s got it all, to be fair to him, and it’ll be cut-price compared to Isak. Watkins is a proven Premier League player, so he’s a better bet than someone like Gyokeres. We’ve seen Darwin Nunez light it up in Portugal and struggle in England.”

  • Winger and a prayer

Arsenal have been told that signing either Nico Williams or Rodrygo can see them win the title next season.

Jermaine Pennant told : “Nico Williams and Rodrygo are both great players. If they can get either of those, they’ve got a worldie on their hands."

“Rodrygo has shown what he can do at Real Madrid, and we’ve seen Nico Williams deliver on the big stage for Spain. Either of them would sharpen that part of the team.”

“If Arsenal can land Rodrygo or Nico Williams, it could be the final spark the team needs.”

  • Arsenal’s Rodrygo interest ‘challenged’

Alan Shearer has challenged his beloved Newcastle to battle Arsenal for Real Madrid star Rodrygo.

He told : “I think that Rodrygo would do very well in the Premier League - he's an excellent player.

“If he’s not happy at Real Madrid, then there won't be a shortage of offers for him to come and play in the Premier League.

“I would possibly say Newcastle could be one of those clubs. Could he do it for Newcastle? Yeah, absolutely.”

  • Iraola reveals Huijsen could go

Andoni Iraola admits Dean Huijsen looks set to leave Bournemouth amid interest from Europe’s top sides.

He told podcast: “I think there will be changes in the in the summer. Yes, probably some players will leave.

“We will try to keep as many as we can, especially the ones that have performed so well. But the club has to be ready for these movements.

“80, 90 per cent of the players will be the same. Probably one, two, three, I don’t know how many important players, can leave.”

  • Arsenal unveil new kit

Arsenal have released their new home shirt for the 2025/26 season.

The new shirt comes with an eye-watering price as the most expensive version will set back fans £130.

The North London club unveiled the shirt in a video on social media.

The video was captioned "the pulse of our club".

  • Isak the ‘ideal signing’

Yohan Cabaye reckons Arsenal will be in dreamland if they sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

He told : “Isak is probably the ideal signing as a striker, but it would be a huge blow for Newcastle to lose him.

“I think it’s going to be difficult for Arsenal to sign him, because Newcastle will do everything they can to keep him, and I think they have to do everything they can to keep him. But definitely, it would be a fantastic coup for Arsenal if they sign Isak.

“It would be a huge blow (if Newcastle lost him). It will be difficult for Arsenal to sign him because I think that Newcastle will do everything to keep him or in my opinion must do everything to keep him. But he would be a fantastic signing for Arsenal.”

  • Tierney's Celtic return 'right move'

Paul Dickov believes Kieran Tierney is making the right decision to leave Arsenal for a Celtic return.

He told : "I think Kieran is a wonderful player. He’s been so unlucky with the injuries that he's had.

"But going back to Celtic, sometimes people say you should never go back, but I think this is just the right move and a match that's going to really work out again.

"Kieran will feel as if he's got a point to prove. He's obviously going back to the club that he loves."

  • Viktor Gyokeres boost

Arsenal are set to make Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres one of their highest earners and could land him for just £60million.

According to , there is already an agreement in place on price between the two clubs.

The £60m fee represents a lower figure than the £85m release clause included in the striker’s contract.

But that price tag “could go higher” if clubs pile in for a bidding war in the summer, with Manchester United among those tracking the Sweden international.

The 26-year-old will also command a hefty wage, with his proposed contract costing Arsenal over £7million a year.

Gyokeres is expected to be offered a deal north of £200,000 a week, putting him among the top earners at the Emirates.

Los Blancos could sell Andriy Lunin who has been happy to cover for Courtois over the last five years.

  • Arsenal transfer advice

Chelsea hero Joe Cole has advised his former rivals Arsenal to launch a bid for Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez.

We’ve mentioned Evanilson and [Benjamin] Sesko before [as potential targets], but I still think a perfect striker for Arsenal would be Lautaro Martinez.

He’s older, but look at [Robert] Lewandowski still banging in goals for Barcelona.

[Cristiano] Ronaldo is 40 and still scoring goals. Strikers can play on a bit later.
