Prem clubs queue for Olympiacos starlet
EXCLUSIVE: Brighton have moved ahead of Manchester United and Arsenal as well as a raft of other suitors for Olympiacos wonderkid Babis Kostoulas, writes KOSTAS LIANOS.
But Wednesday will be “crucial” for his future.
Olympiacos won’t sell on the cheap and will insist on a major resale clause for the versatile striker, who has a contract until 2030.
Negotiations have reached a fee of €40million (£34m), which Fabian Hurzeler’s side are currently not willing to meet despite their willingness to pay good money for the 18-year-old.
SunSport, though, understand the Greece Under-21 international’s fee could climb even higher to €50-55m (£42-46m).

City 'omit McAtee amid shock interest from rivals Utd'
James McAtee has reportedly been left out of Manchester City’s Club World Cup squad amid links with rivals Manchester United.
Shock reports claim McAtee, 22, has emerged as a target for the Red Devils this summer.
The playmaker has been at City since 2013, rising up through the academy before taking in a double loan spell at Sheffield United.
This season saw McAtee emerge as a rotation player under Guardiola, with the ace netting seven goals in 27 outings.
However, City have numerous attacking options both in midfield and out wide.
Guardiola is also said to be plotting swoops for the likes of Lyon’s Rayan Cherki and Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White.
And that could see McAtee become available for a transfer away from the Etihad. Now, speculation regarding his City future has heated up after McAtee was left out of the squad for the Club World Cup.
The tournament runs simultaneously alongside the U21s Euros in Slovakia. Having initially not been included, McAtee has now been added to England’s pre-tournament training squad.
Sheikh still dreams of owning Red Devils
Sheikh Jassim has not given up on one day owning Man Utd, according to reports.
The Qatari went head-to-head with Sir Jim Ratcliffe for the Red Devils in 2023.
While Ratcliffe, 72, went on to buy a 25 per cent stake in the club, Jassim had been attempting to purchase it in its entirety - pledging to wipe their staggering debt in the process.
Taking into account money borrowed and transfers still being paid for, the Red Devils are said to owe around £1bn.
Ratcliffe has endured a bruising first 18 months as United co-owner.
The Red Devils have just secured their worst finish of the Premier League era, while former boss Erik ten Hag was sacked last October.
The Dutchman's successor Ruben Amorim has so far been unable to stop the rot, while the Red Devils' difficulties have extended to off the pitch.
Ratcliffe has bemoaned the club's financial woes, with drastic cuts including 450 redundancies.
According to the , Jassim and his associates have not given up on one day purchasing the Red Devils.
Devil date
Pinch, punch, WORST of the month!
Wolves fans can't believe it after turning the page in the club calendar to find Matheus Cunha is the face of June - on the day he joined Manchester United.
The Red Devils confirmed the Brazilian attacker is incoming on a five-year deal, with Wolves receiving a club record fee of £62.5million.
But never in a month of Sundays did Molineux supporters think losing their main man would come with such a Devilish twist.

Fight for Mbeumo hots up
Arsenal and Manchester United are still regarded as in the hunt for Brentford frontman Bryan Mbeumo - but face fierce competition.
Newcastle are also understood to be monitoring the 25-year-old's situation.
The Cameroonian finished the season with 20 goals and seven assists in 38 Premier League games.
That's a step-up from his 2023-24 stats, where he netted nine times and supplied seven assists.
Arsenal want more options all across the frontline.
Boss Mikel Arteta reportedly wants a new main striker.
But he wants alternatives to widemen Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli - which is where Mbeumo's versatility comes in.
Nonetheless, it's understood Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams remains the Gunners' top wing option.

Fernandes shares PSG picture
Bruno Fernandes has posted a five-word message alongside a shared a picture of some PSG players celebrating their Champions League success last night.
It comes amidst uncertainty on his future, with the United skipper strongly linked with a move away.
Al-Hilal are yet to formally bid for the 30-year-old despite having concrete interest.
But Fernandes took to Instagram to share a picture of Portuguese foursome Nuno Mendes, Joao Neves, Vitinha and Goncalo Ramos with the trophy they win in Munich last night.
It was accompanied by the message "from Portugal to the world."
Al-Hilal star sends Bruno message
Bruno Fernandes has been sent a message from an Al-Hilal star, with his future looking more likely to come in Saudi Arabia.
Fernandes' camp have been locked in talks with the super rich club, with reports claiming his wages could QUADRUPLE to a tax-free £700,000 per month.
Ruben Neves - a team-mate at Portugal with Fernandes - is currently starring for Al-Hilal and said he'd want his Portuguese teammates to join him there.
He told A Bola: "I recommend all the players in the national team, of course.
"Fortunately, Portugal has produced a lot of talent and continues to do so. We are a lucky country in that respect.
"We are also very hard-working. A very small country but one that has produced excellent players.
"Just yesterday we saw four of our players lift the Champions League.
"It is an excellent sign for Portugal . I would like to have any player from the national team in my team."
Fernandes deal 'close'
Al-Hilal believe a deal for Bruno Fernandes is "close" after a week of discussions, reports say.
The United star's future is very much up in the air after a very good personal campaign despite United's disastrous season.
Now, it's being reported at that the Saudi side believe they're closing in on his signature - despite not yet tabling a bid to United.
It's claimed he's been given a deadline on Friday to decide, while he consults with his family.
Joan boost?
Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle have been given renewed hope of landing Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia.
A number of top clubs have been linked with the stopper, who was a standout and big reason why his club JUST kept their La Liga status.
But it looked like Barcelona were in pole position for his signature.
However current Barca stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen says he's NOT leaving the Camp Nou this summer.
He said: "Nobody has spoken to me.
"I know I'll be in Barcelona next year. Barca is one of the biggest clubs, and competition is normal.
"For me, the situation isn't changing. I'm extremely excited about next season with a team that's very young, dynamic, and hungry."
Cunha hint
Not that we needed any more proof, but Matheus Cunha reportedly taking the number 10 shirt at Old Trafford will spell the end for Marcus Rashford.
Where he'll end up at this stage is anyone's guess, with an Aston Villa permanent deal unlikely.
That added to reports from Spain claiming Barca president Joan Laporta would rather sign Rafael Leao than Rashford or Luis Diaz means Rashford's future remains right up in the air.
Oh, Kell no!
United were surprising tipped to make a shock move for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher this morning.
But as was expected, Brentford quickly moved to the advanced stage of talks to take the Liverpool keeper to the Gtech and have now agreed a deal.
It comes just hours after they agreed to the £10million sale of Mark Flekken to Bayer Leverkusen - for Erik ten Hag's first signing since joining as manager.
Now Kelleher - second fiddle to Alisson while Giorgi Mamardashvili is on his way - looks set for a shot as a number one at the Bees.
United's search for a new keeper will continue, with Andre Onana poised to leave this summer.
Fernandes spotted with Al-Hilal star
Bruno Fernandes has reportedly been spotted with Al-Hilal defender Joao Cancelo as discussions continue over his future.
Fernandes and Cancelo, a former Manchester City defender, have been team-mates for the Portugal national team for several years.
Al-Hilal want to sign the Manchester United captain before the end of next week, securing his signature in time for the Club World Cup.
No offer for Bruno...yet
Manchester United have yet to receive an offer from Al-Hilal for talisman and captain Bruno Fernandes.
United are desperate to keep hold of the Portuguese, though it's understood they'd listen to offers if he told them he wanted to leave.
The Saudi side have been reported as holding concrete interest in Fernandes.
But Sky Sports say United haven't yet received any form of offer from anyone for the 30-year-old.
He still has two years left on his Old Trafford contract.
Asian trip worthwhile
Harry Amass reckons the trip to Asia was merited, as it served as an eye opener as to just how BIG Manchester United are.
The left back featured in both friendlies as United lost 1-0 in Malaysia, before winning 3-1 in Hong Kong.
And Amass - potentially set for a bigger role after a breakthrough last season - told MUTV after the Hong Kong win: "It was good, the pitch was tough to play on. The second half, the boys got it over the line.
"I think the tour has been good. I've been to places I haven't been before and the fans are so crazy, they've shown their passion. It's good to be around the lads and everyone is together.
"I think sometimes you forget or don't think about it because you're in England, but coming across here is an eye opener with how massive for the club is."
What are United getting?
It's fair to say the inflated figures United have paid for strikers in recent season hasn't paid too many dividends.
So splashing just over £60million out on Matheus Cunha could be seen as a potential risk.
But his numbers at a Wolves side flirting with relegation have been great and his assists, chances created and work rate added to the 15 goals in 33 games shows he's a great all-rounder up top.
Fans react
Some fans took to X to post their reactions to Cunha's signing at Old Trafford.
But most had a similar theme - good business but United still need lots MORE.
One posted: "Welcome to the biggest club in the world Matheus. Now we go for more."
Another added: "Six more to go."
A third replied: "Ok, now this can't blind us from what needs to happen. 1/6 starters."
