'My eyes have gone' - Williams
Snooker star Mark Williams has made a worrying health admission by declaring “my eyes have gone.”
The three-time world champion revealed he is struggling to see the table after his 6-2 Players Championship win over Ding Junhui.
Williams became emotional as he opened up over his failing eyesight.
The star admits the issue is affecting his game as he is no longer able to properly identify different-coloured balls.
And Williams is now considering undergoing surgery to fix the problem.
He said: “My eyes have gone. In the last six months they have deteriorated rapidly.
“Every single shot is blurry to me now, whether it is a straight black off the spot or an easy blue. I’m guessing.
“I’ll have to look into it after the World Championship and see if I can get something done. How I won that game I don’t know. The lights magnify it a lot more. I can’t see anything.”

Trump warned he's 'peaked too early'
Judd Trump has been warned his season may have peaked too early ahead of the World Championship next month.
The world No.1 has built his campaign around competing for a second Crucible crown - but hasn't reached a final so far in 2025.
Esteemed commentator Dave Hendon now wonders if the Ace in the Pack played his hand too early in the campaign, with Crucible action set to start a month away on April 19.
Speaking on the Snooker Scene podcast, Hendon said: "Trump, this season, has won the two biggest ranking events so far in terms of prize money. The Saudi Arabia Masters and the UK Championship.
"On paper you’ve got to say that his first round clash looks likely to be a comfortable win for Trump. But you never know.
"One thing I will say is that his season is definitely front loaded in terms of achievements. All those finals were before Christmas.
"We’re judging Trump because he’s world No.1 by very high standards. His standards have dipped a little from the early season.
"Now that may not be a bad thing because he may be saving something for the World Championship.
"But the danger is that he’s had his purple patch already."
Bingham hailed for classy act
Stuart Bingham was hailed for a sporting act during his Players Championship clash with Neil Robertson.
The two former world champions faced off in Telford just nine days on from their meeting in the World Grand Prix final.
With Bingham leading 3-2, there was a potentially contentious moment.
Robertson, 43, committed a foul shot, failing to hit the red having found himself snookered.
The referee deemed Bingham to subsequently be snookered himself, awarding him a free ball.
With two extra reds having already been placed on the table, Bingham sportingly told the referee that he didn't feel he was actually snookered and that he believed the angle was on.
This led to the ITV commentator gushing: "Bingham, every credit there in reversing his decision. That really was a sporting effort from the 2015 world champion."
As the referee removed the extra reds, he accidentally nudged the original red from its position, inadvertently creating an easier angle for Bingham.
This led to 2010 world champ Robertson laughing in his chair.
