World's Most Wanted is a thrilling new docuseries which tells the story of international fugitives that have managed to evade the justice system.

What time is World's Most Wanted released on Netflix?

As we mentioned the show drops today (August 5, 2020).

You can catch it from 8am.

As the title suggests, the first season will profile five of the world's most wanted criminals.

There will be five episodes for you to binge all at once.

What is World's Most Wanted about?

Netflix's description of the show says: “Heinous criminals have avoided capture despite massive rewards and global investigations.

"This docuseries profiles five of the world’s most wanted.”

Each episode will deep-dive into the story of the notorious fugitives and examine how they have managed to avoid capture.

Here's who is featured:

Samantha Lewthwaite

Samantha Lewthwaite is a Northern Ireland-born terrorist, accused of causing the deaths of more than 400 people thanks to her involvement in Somalia-based Islamic militant group, al-Shabaab.

Lewthwaite was raised a Christian but converted to Islam when she was 17.

Samantha is often referred to as the “White Widow” as she is the widow of the 7/7 London terrorist bomber Germaine Lindsay.

Lewthwaite met Lindsay at a Stop the War protest in London.

She is a fugitive from justice in Kenya where she is wanted on charges of possession of explosives as well as ones relating to conspiracy to commit a felony.

She is the subject of an Interpol Red Notice, requesting her arrest with a view to being extradited.

The White Widow has also been accused of being a member of the Somalia-based Islamic militant group al-Shabaab and orchestrating grenade attacks on non-Muslim places of worship.

Matteo Messina Denaro, also known as Diabolik, is a Sicilian Mafia boss.

Matteo is alleged to have learned to use a gun at 14, and committed his first murder at 18.

Matteo Messina Denaro is thought to have played a prominent role in the terrorist campaign that swept through Sicily in 1993.

He is believed to be one of the new leaders of Cosa Nostra, who conducted a series of bomb attacks in the Via dei Georgofili in Florence, Via Palestro in Milan, Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano and Via San Teodoro in Rome, which left 10 people dead and 93 injured.

After the 1993 bombings Denaro went into hiding.

Félicien Kabuga is a businessman from Rwanda who is suspected to have been involved in the Rwandan genocide in 1994.

Kabuga was indicted on August 29, 1988, and was charged with conspiracy to commit genocide, genocide, complicity in genocide, direct and public incitement to commit genocide and extermination as a crime against humanity.

From January 1993 to March 1994, a whopping 500,000 machetes were shipped to Rwanda, and Kabuga has been named as one of the main importers of these machetes.

Ismael El Mayo Zambada is a 72-year-old Mexican drug lord who worked with two other big players in the Sinaloa Cartel.

Zambada is accused of being a major stakeholder in the international trafficking of high class drugs.

The State Department reported: "In the late 1990s, Zambada-Garcia emerged as one of the strongest drug traffickers in Mexico, capable of transporting multi-ton quantities of cocaine and marijuana and multi-kilogram quantities of heroin."

He is thought to traffic drugs to Arizona, California, Chicago, and New York.

Semion Mogilevich

Semion Mogilevich is a Ukrainian-born Russian organised crime boss who made the FBI’s top 10 most wanted fugitives list in 2009.

He was removed from the list in 2015 after it became clear he's living as a free man in Russia.

He is described by agencies across the globe as the "boss of bosses" of most Russian Mafia syndicates in the world.

The FBI has dubbed him as "the most dangerous mobster in the world".

Mogilevich has been accused by the FBI of "weapons trafficking, contract murders, extortion, drug trafficking, and prostitution on an international scale".

He has at least 40 charges against him from many countries including money laundering and racketeering.
