Celeb unrecognisable as he transforms into Anchorman Ron Burgundy for Keith Lemon’s star-studded birthday bash

A FAMOUS anchorman swapped his TV sofa for the KVWN Channel 4 news desk as he transformed into comedy character Ron Burgundy.

The celeb, 61, looked the spit of Will Ferrell's hilarious alter-ego as he hid his famous silver fox locks with a brunette wig and donned a 70s-style suit for Keith Lemon's star-studded 50th birthday party.

Staying classy as he partied with his family, it was in fact Phillip Schofield hidden behind the bushy moustache - looking very different to his usual appearance while hosting This Morning.

Along with his wife Stephanie Lowe and their two daughters Molly and Ruby, he attended Keith Lemon's 50th birthday.

Comedian and TV star Emily Atack was also in attendance, dressing up as Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe.

Stephanie was Private Benjamin for the event, while Molly and Ruby were the Men in Black.

Phil's recent absence from This Morning has led to claims he could be leaving the show.

During his time away as his brother went on trial for child sex abuse charges, his co-host Holly Willoughby teamed up with Alison Hammond to present the show.

Bosses were so taken by Alison and Holly on screen that they have held talks over Phil's future on the show, according to a report in .

A source said: "It has put an idea into the heads of ITV chiefs – to bring a bit of 'girl power' to the show.

"It's a case of both things colliding. Fans say they are over Phil and they love Alison."

Leading bookmaker Coral has also slashed the odds to 4-5 (from 3-1) on Alison being named as a main This Morning presenter across the full week in 2023.

“With doubts about the future of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, we have slashed the odds on Alison Hammond being named as a presenter for the full five days of This Morning,” said Coral’s John Hill.
