Despite it being past 11pm, strict rules prohibit use of the word c**t on live TV - but Danny didn't realise until it was too late.

While discussing feuds in the house, Danny spoke about the ongoing friction between Zeze Mills and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu explaining to AJ they feel the biggest issue is they're so similar.

"I think fundamentally their the same, do you know what I mean?" the star explained. "Like they know what they want, they've got their own audience, and they're the king of that castle, or the queen of that castle.

"So to them with their audience, they feel unstoppable. And I think very different worlds very different reasons why they're famous, but I think that that only makes for a clash."

Danny then continued: "I think as well, Ekin-Su is keen to impress Sharon and Louis, and if Louis constantly 'oh I don't like her, I don't like her, rrrr where she sounds like a c**t, she looks like a c**t' she's gonna go with it."

Danny then noticed AJ and Will squirm over use of the word and realised their mistake, asking, "Oh, can I say that?" before slapping their hand over their mouth.

"No, that is the one that you can't!" Will explained, as Danny repeatedly apologised for the error.

Addressing the camera, Will added: "We are sorry about Danny's use of a particular word, but it's done, it's in the past. We're not gonna say it again."

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry! So sorry everyone!" Danny laughed, before joking: "I didn't say that! I'm just gonna gaslight everyone!"

"We are sorry," added AJ. "It's the pressure of live TV, don't worry about it."

"I'm so sorry, I'm just going," joked Danny, getting up off their chair and pretending to walk out before sitting back down.

While the repeated use of the word may have sent producers and hosts into a panic, fans at home couldn't help but find the moment hilarious.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one fan wrote: "danny saying c**t is the highlight of my night."

"Obsessed with Danny Beard saying c**t live on ITV2 in front of Kate Middleton's uncle...twice," added another.

"Danny Beard casually dropping the word c**t twice on live tv," laughed a third, adding a gif of AJ giggling in the diary room.

While another thought there was no need to say sorry, adding: "I love Danny Beard casually dropping the word c**t, several times, live on ITV2 lmao. I mean it's 11pm so surely the apology isn't needed."

The error came around shortly after Gary Goldsmith - Kate Middleton's uncle - was given the boot and became the first evicted housemate of the series.

He was up against Lauren Simon in the public vote, after she recieved the most nominations by her fellow housemates.

Gary was up for the chop after failing to impress temporary 'house lodger' Sharon Osbourne.

Celebrity Big Brother line-up

Who are the 13 stars appearing in the Celebrity Big Brother house? The Sun's Jamie Downham takes a look...

Sharon Osbourne - TV legend - who is a "house guest" on a megabucks deal - said she was doing the show for "a good time not a long time"

Louis Walsh - Irish boyband manager who has never knowingly backed down from a fight and is not above pulling rank over the double bed

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu - As we know from Love Island, the Ek-ster is capable of throwing about some dramatics to claw her way to the final

Levi Roots - Reggae Reggae Sauce sauce packs a bit of a kick, but its inventor seems quite mild-mannered. Will that change under pressure?

Fern Britton - The former This Morning star called out Phillip Schofield - don't think she won't do the same to anyone who tangles with her

Colson Smith - You'll probably know him best as Corrie's Craig Tinker - but prepare to find out he's not much like his character

David Potts - Ibiza Weekender's breakout star has left that show behind - as well as his trousers by the look of things

Gary Goldsmith - Kate Middleton's uncle is a big signing for ITV, but has proved a divisive booking among viewers

Marisha Wallace - It's not CBB without the role of 'American who doesn't know what they've let themselves in for' and she's doing brilliantly

Nikita Kuzmin - The Strictly pro is coming onto the show fresh off the show's tour. Poor lad probably just wants a rest

Zeze Mills - the social media star has a "no holds barred interview style" - and she hasn't backed away from calling people (well, Louis) out

Bradley Riches - The actor played kindly James McEwan in Netflix hit Heartstopper and he seems just as sweet in the house

Lauren Simon - She's a Real Housewives of Cheshire star and you really don't get on that show by being shy and retiring
