A POPULAR Channel 4 canine training series is making a comeback - but with a brand new name and a familiar face at the helm.

The Dog Academy has been rebranded as The Bad Dog Academy, and for the first time, the show will have a celebrity host in the form of radio presenter Nick Grimshaw.

The show aims to help Britain’s most troubled dogs and their desperate owners.

The new series will see a team of top dog trainers work their magic once again.

Owners will get trained in dog management skills and psychology, while their misbehaving pooches will be put through their paces with expert-led sessions.

Grimshaw, who is an avid dog lover, couldn’t be more excited about his new role.

He shared: “I have always loved dogs, so getting to be around loads of them all at once on Bad Dog Academy has been a dream.

“I’ve loved witnessing the incredible work of these expert trainers and the amazing transformations of both dogs and their human owners.”

The first series, which aired in March 2023, had renowned trainer Victoria Stilwell at the helm.

Stilwell is best known for her work on It’s Me or the Dog, and has helped countless owners over the years with her positive reinforcement techniques.

She has also published five bestselling books on dog training.

While her expertise played a key role in the show’s success, Channel 4 has confirmed that The Bad Dog Academy will take things up a notch when it returns to screens this April.
