AUTOPSY results show Liam Payne died from multiple injuries he sustained following his tragic fall from a hotel balcony.
The ex-One Direction star suffered severe injuries that led to “internal and external haemorrhaging” following his plunge in Buenos Aires, a post-mortem has revealed.
Today's post-mortem was carried out by two forensic pathologists in Buenos Aires.
Argentinian police are currently waiting for more tests to establish the details of the singer's death.
The 31-year-old plunged from the balcony of his room at Hotel CasaSur in the neighbourhood of Palermo on Wednesday.
Earlier today, emergency services said the singer died instantly from multiple injuries including a fractured skull.

Chief Alberto Crescenti said: "The alarm was raised at 5.04pm local time saying a person was lying in an internal patio at Casa Sur.
“Our role was to head there quickly, give medical attention, and try to resuscitate him, but his injuries were incompatible with life.
“Based on what the team saw, there was apparently a cranial fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death.”
According to local outlet Fiscales, Liam Payne could have been unconscious when he fell from the balcony.

The investigation found that given the position he was found in and the injuries sustained, it is assumed he didn't adopt an automatic reflex pose.
Meaning he may have been partly or fully unconscious when he fell.
Liam was seen in a photo - said to be his last one - going back to Hotel CasaSur.
The picture was shared by local and shows the singer leaning against a wall wearing the same clothes he was seen in earlier.
The presenters said it was the last time he was seen alive just moments before he got the lift to his hotel room.

The former One Director member was said to be "behaving erratically" shortly before his death with witnesses claiming he had to be carried back to his room.
Argentinian cops said they were called to the hotel on Wednesday after staff reported an "aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol".
Witnesses at the hotel reported Liam smashed his laptop and he had even had to be carried back to his room,
The hotel's head of reception made two frantic calls to emergency services and can be heard saying: "We have a guest who is destroying everything in his room. We need someone to come.
"They must be in a room that has a balcony. And well, we’re a little bit worried he’ll do something, that he’ll put his life at risk."
Police found Liam dead in the hotel's inner courtyard at around 5pm local time (9pm UK time) when they arrived.
Liam's devastated family have broken their silence with a touching tribute saying: "We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we’ll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul.
"We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space during this awful time."
Heartbroken fans have gathered outside the hotel for candlelit vigils with many leaving flowers and hand-written messages fixed to a tree.
A bouquet of white carnations was decorated with a heart-shaped ornament which said: “Te Amo’ - "I Love You" in Spanish.
The singer was in Buenos Aires alongside his girlfriend Kate Cassidy to watch bandmate Niall Horan perform.
The pair shared photos of them posing up in front of a mirror on Snapchat before Liam's death.
The model also took a snap of the One Direction star as they rode horses together in the countryside prior to her departure.
Liam had posted earlier in the day talking about riding horses, playing polo, and looking forward to returning home to see his dog.
He wrote: "It's a lovely day here in Argentina."
Liam went from 'dad' of 1D to pro solo star… but demons took over his life

By Howell Davies, Associate Bizarre Editor
LIAM was warm, a little bit goofy and the dad - figuratively, not literally - in One Direction, who always kept everyone in check and gave the people what they wanted.
He was the spokesperson of the group, speaking up while the others fooled around or shrunk into the background.
I interviewed him lots of times over the years, first of all back in December 2014 when I was a fledgling reporter and he was still one fifth of the world’s most famous boyband.
On that night at the BBC Music Awards in West London, they squeezed onto a sofa and Liam spoke animatedly while his bandmate Zayn Malik barely said a word.
He was friendly and the most professional of the group because he knew his role was to hold things together.
You could tell he was eager to please, even then.
But I would hear whispers from behind the scenes that all was not well.
He was abusing alcohol and his love life was a rollercoaster.
Things came to a head in the final year of One Direction and those working around him made it clear that it was a relief he would finally have some time off to be a normal guy in his early twenties - after years spent pin-balling across the globe in a haze of screams from fans.
It was shocking to me that at 22 he had been in the industry for years and years, while I, just a year older, was only just starting my career.
I still felt like a kid, but he was one of the most talked-about people in the world.
Footage shows Liam at Niall’s concert just days before he died.
Tributes have poured in for the singer with fans flocking to the hotel to pay their respects.
Harry Styles' mum shared a heartbreaking tribute on Instagram writing in the caption: "Just a boy…".
And Liam's ex-fiancée Maya Henry was " in shock" in the wake of the tragic news.
Just two days before Liam's tragic fall, Maya made comments on a podcast claiming the star "predicted his early death."
