When did Love Island 2017 end, what were the TV viewing figures, who won and which couples were in the final?

LOVE Island was THE show of the summer of 2017 - with viewers hooked on the happenings in the villa.
With 2018's series up and running, let's remind ourselves of how it all ended last year.
When did Love Island 2017 come to an end?
Love Island began on June 5, 2017, and ended on Monday, July 24.
Host Caroline Flack had hinted the show could run longer but sadly that wasn't the case.
The final was a bumper 1 hour and 30 minutes and saw the final couples eliminated before the winners were crowned.
Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies emerged as victors with Jamie and Camilla runners up, Chris and Olivia in third place with Gabby and Marcel finishing fourth.
What did Amber and Kem get as the Love Island 2017 winners?
The Love Island prize money is £50,000 which this year just ONE of the winners won.
Kem picked the envelope with the money in and Amber picked an envelope with nothing.
Kem had the option NOT to share the cash and keep it for himself, leaving Amber with nothing.
But in a move that shocked no-one, as he had declared Amber to be his future wife - Kem shared the cash with his girlfriend.

How many people watched Love Island 2017?
Love Island 2017 brought in between 1.5 and 2 million viewers with each episode of the show, which aired from 9pm to 10pm on ITV2.
Each week the viewer numbers climbed and at one point, a whopping 2.4 million viewers were watching the July 4 episode, which saw three couples have sex.
It consistently thrashed Big Brother, which aired at the same time on Channel 5 and typically brings in between 640,000 and 900,000 viewers.
Who were the bookies favourites to win Love Island 2017?
Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen had long been the bookies' favourites to go all the way in the villa.
However, in the run up to the final they were comfortably ousted as top dogs by the villa's longest standing couple Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies.
Latecomer Jamie Jewitt and the besotted Camilla Thurlow were bookies' second favourite, while Chris Hughes and his beau Olivia Attwood made a last minute rise in the popularity stakes to sit in third.
And the bookies got it right with the results as follows;
- Winners - Kem and Amber
- Runners Up - Camilla and Jamie
- 3rd Place - Olivia and Chris
- 4th Place - Marcel and Gabby
