Nick Knowles axed from I’m A Celebrity as fans mock him for revealing he wanted to heal divided Britain

NICK Knowles revealed he wanted to heal a divided Great Britain after he was axed from I'm A Celeb tonight.
The presenter, 56, was hopeful a display of unity in camp would inspire viewers frustrated by Brexit.
Many of his fans felt he was nailed on to make Sunday's final, but it wasn't to be as Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby revealed his time was up.
In his exit interview he told the hosts: "We're having such a hard time in the UK at the minute and there's such division in the UK, I thought if we could show in here we can get on, it might influence people back home."
There are now only five famous contenders remaining ahead of this Sunday’s final – former X Factor runner-up Fleur East, actor John Barrowman, football legend Harry Redknapp, The Vamps star James McVey and actress Emily Atack.
Viewers took to Twitter to mock Nick's inspirational message, writing: "#ImACelebrity #nickknowles stating that he hopes the show has influenced the uk re #Brexit makes his singing/guitar playing seem a little less self absorbed. Didn't think that was possible! 😉.
"Brexit Remainers & Leavers join forces to create a giant congo down the M6 after being inspired by the beautiful words of @MrNickKnowles. Truly, let there be peace #ImACeleb.
"#ImACeleb Nick. Please stop talking... and singing but mainly talking, not buying the act. But at least we know that Nick Knowles has solved Brexit. Next World Peace from Nick Knowles
"Nick Knowles talking about brexit, the police and emergency services bloody hell thought I was watching I’m a celeb not bbc question time #ImACelebrity.

"Nick Knowles trying to solve world peace and fix brexit in 10 seconds of air time 😂😂😂."
In his exit chat Nick backed Fleur and Harry to win the show.
He also spoke about his experience in the wilderness, saying: “I’d done more stuff in the wild than they had, especially the cooking.
“There were a lot of big characters vying for position but nobody took over. The boredom was the worst thing.”
Nick follows in the footsteps of former jungle leader Noel Edmonds, 69, Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer, 20, who were the first and second celebrities to leave the show.
Coronation Street actress Sair Khan, 30, was voted off next followed by former EastEnders actress Rita Simons, 41, earlier this week, and The Chase quizmaster Anne Hegerty, 60, who was booted off last night.
Thursday night's episode was action packed with fans praising James for his performance during his Dingo Dollar Challenge with Fleur.
Singer Fleur guided musician James across a plank which was suspended in the air while he was blindfolded and dressed as a reindeer.
The challenge area was surrounded by Christmas decorations as James attempted to grab presents as he made his way along the plank.
Praising James for his effort, one viewer wrote on Twitter: "If James doesn’t win after that I won’t only be disappointed in vamps fans but in the country as a whole #ImACelebrity."
Another posted: "WOW James has nerves of steel! Amazing!!"
James even impressed himself as he jumped off the plank at the end of the task, not realising he was about to do so as he could not see what he was doing, accidentally conquering his fear of bungee jumping.
