Brooklyn Beckham risks £60 fine and three points on his provisional licence for driving £37k Mercedes with only one L-plate

Son of David and Victoria, 17, snapped cruising around central London in luxury motor

BROOKLYN Beckham’s fledgling driving career might have hit the brakes after
only a few lessons — after he was spotted driving with only one L plate on
his luxury Mercedes.

The 17-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham was snapped without the
badge on the front of the car as he cruised around central London this week.

And motoring experts have warned the youngster is playing with fire as it
could earn him three points on his provisional licence and a £60 fine.

Motorists must display a correctly-sized L plate on both the front and back of
their vehicle, the DVLA warns.

Speaking to the ,
Gocompare.com spokesman Matt Oliver said: “By law, learner drivers are
required to clearly display learner plates on both the front and rear of
their vehicle.

“Failing to do so can result in a LC20 offence which can carry a £60 fine
and three points for each missing plate, which can result in serious
consequences for new drivers.

“New drivers can have their licence revoked if they accumulate six or more
points in the first two years of passing their test, which includes points
gained under a provisional licence.

“If a driver racks up six points on a provisional licence, while they will
still be able to pass their driving test, if they gain any more points in
the two year period not only could their licence be revoked, but they will
have to pay for a new provisional licence and pass both theory and practical
parts of the driving test again.

“On top of having to retake your driving test and all the associate costs that
comes with it, a new driver having points or worse still, their licence
revoked within their first years of being on the road can have a massive
impact on both their ability to get insurance and the cost of cover.”

The snap came just days after his fashion designer mum posted a picture of the
pair in the Mercedes A-Class.

Afternoon drive with @BrooklynBeckham.”

The luxury motor is estimated to cost around £37,500.

Not that Brooklyn — a model and wannabe photographer — would have had any
problem affording the hefty price tag.

Experts reckon his ex-England captain dad Becks and former Spice Girl mum Posh
are worth nearly half a BILLION pounds.
