Look who’s back! Grant and Phil Mitchell are reunited in chilling EastEnders trailer for Peggy’s exit

The brothers are back on the Square as the Walford matriarch bids her last goodbye

IT’S the reunion that EastEnders fans have been eagerly-awaiting and today
they were given their first glimpse of Phil and Grant Mitchell side-by-side
once more.

Walford’s most famous – and menacing – duo have come together once more as the
Square gets
ready to bid a final farewell
to their mother Peggy.

And while Phil, played by Steve McFadden, is still a regular face on the
Square, it’s the return of his brother that has caused all the excitement.

Ross Kemp stars as Grant and is seen back in the Square for the first time in
ten years in the first trailer teasing Peggy’s final and emotional
storyline.

It starts with Peggy, played by Dame Barbara Mitchell walking through Walford
as she reflects her on her time living in E20.

She passes Stacey Slater and Martin Fowler in their wedding finest, hinting
that they do actually make it down the aisle.

She then sees Jane Beale and her adopted son Bobby before she turns to look at
the Queen Victoria pub, her domain as landlady for so many years, with Phil
standing outside.

Then the doors open and Grant saunters out and stands by his brother’s side as
she looks on with maternal pride.

The camera then pans out as Peggy stands in front of the Square with life
rushing by her.

A taxi drives across, Peggy is gone and the on-screen caption reads, “Every
End Is A New Beginning #EELASTORDERS.”

Peggy is set to bow out of the soap once and for all after the character
returns to the Square to see out her final days after being told her cancer
is back and is terminal.

And her final scenes would not be the same without her boys by her side, and
fans are excited to see Kemp return to the Square after a decade away.

The actor started filming about a month ago and posted Tweets about his return
to the set.

But he also admitted he
was “wetting himself” over his comeback
and revealed to the
Radio Times: “”I’m panicking about everything. About whether I’ve
lost the ability to learn all the lines. I worry about letting people down,
letting myself down.

“That’s my biggest fear. It’s going to be like going back to sixth form.”

And completing the Mitchell clan reunion is Danniella Westbrook, who
returned to the set last week
to film her scenes as Sam Mitchell having
also last been on the show ten years ago.
