MP Simon Danczuk and wife Karen have separated.
Karen, 31, who is known for selfies showing off her cleavage on Twitter, said yesterday she is “gutted”.
A series of recent bust-ups between Danczuk and Karen came to a head at the weekend, resulting in the split.
Mr Danczuk, 48, is believed to be staying with friends after quitting the family home on Saturday.
He said last night: “I am very sad to say my wife and I are separating. Our main concern is for the wellbeing of our two children. I am absolutely devastated, but that’s life.”
Karen, 31, a former councillor, stayed behind with their two boys, Milton, seven, and Maurice, five.
She is best known for her Twitter page, where she regularly posts revealing pictures showing off her cleavage to 53,000 followers and giving political opinions.
On the morning of the split she tweeted a sexy selfie with the message: “Good morning Hope you have an amazing day!! KD #happysaturday”.
Last night Karen added: “Needless to say I am gutted by our decision to split after eight years together and three years of marriage.”
A pal said: “They have been having problems for quite a while, things haven’t been easy. He’s heartbroken.”
Rochdale MP Mr Danczuk, who has two children from a previous marriage, said there was no one else involved.
He has fought a high-profile campaign against VIP paedophiles, including the seedy past of late Liberal Cyril Smith.
It is thought the marriage came under strain after Karen claimed she had been abused from age six by a family member.
