William Hill punter cashes out £98k acca for £21k ahead of Tottenham Europa League clash tonight

ONE William Hill customer walked away with over £21,000 from a £11 accumulator after choosing to cash out before Tottenham's Europa League clash tonight.

But the question looms: Will they live to regret playing it safe?

This astute punter stuck £11 on a mixture of outright football bets at almost 9,000/1 before the 2024/25 campaign.

And, if successful, that bet would have returned a colossal £98,000!

Three of those seven selections have already cruised in, including Liverpool to win the Premier League, and Burnley and Wrexham to finish in the top two in the Championship and League One.

The remaining open selections included Bayern Munich to win the Bundesliga, Doncaster to win League Two, Chelsea to win the Conference League, and Tottenham to reach the final of the Europa League.

But perhaps sensing danger, our mystery punter decided to forgo the end-of-season drama and cashed out for £21,000 - and the bookies are in little doubt which team is responsible for their decision.

"With only Bayern Munich, Doncaster, Chelsea and Tottenham as the remaining selections, our customer clearly lacked confidence in Spurs' chances to reach the Europa League final and opted to cash out of the bet ahead of their clash against the Norwegian outfit."
