Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moving to the US would ‘devastate’ Prince William and Kate Middleton, says royal author

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry are considering relocating to the US for much of the year, it has been reported.
And a royal author has said if the couple go through with the plans it would leave Kate Middleton and Prince William feeling “devastated”.
The troubled Sussexes’ upcoming six-week break from work is being viewed as a test for a potential future move.
The royal couple are believed to be considering a range of locations where they could set up a second base.
Royal commentator Phil Dampier told the : “It would be a disaster if Harry and Meghan quit and lived abroad – William and Kate would be devastated.
“Behind the scenes I’m told Kate is doing her best to bring everyone together and help Meghan.
“None of them want to let the Queen down so Kate is trying to patch things up in private.”
He added that the Duchess of Cambridge has reached out to “struggling” Meghan and spoken to her on the phone.
The Sussexes are believed to be planning on taking baby son Archie to the US in November to celebrate Thanksgiving in LA, where Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland lives.
During the ITV documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, host Tom Bradby followed the couple on Meghan and Harry's Africa tour, interviewing both the Duke and Duchess separately.
Close to tears, Meghan explained: "Look, any woman especially when they are pregnant you’re really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging, and then when you have a newborn – you know…
"And especially as a woman, it’s a lot. So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mum or trying to be a newlywed it’s, well…
"And, also thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I’m OK. But it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."
Tom asks her directly if it is fair to say that it has been a struggle, and looking emotional, Meghan replies: "Yes."
During the documentary, Tom also quizzes Harry on his relationship with William.
“We’re brothers, we’ll always be brothers — and we’re certainly on different paths at the moment," he said.
"But I’ll certainly always be there for him as I know he’ll always be there for me.
“We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy.
“But I love him dearly and the majority of the stuff is created out of nothing. But as brothers, you have good days, you have bad days.”
