Prince Harry told Roman Kemp to ‘fire a water balloon at Prince William’ when he was invited to DJ at Buckingham Palace

ROMAN Kemp has opened up about an encounter he had with Prince William and Prince Harry during a garden party at Buckingham Palace.

The Capital radio presenter - who is currently a contestant on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here - explained how he had been invited to DJ at the palace in 2017 for a children's garden party, but ended up in a water fight.

In a clip shown on Extra Camp, Roman explained how he ended up having a water fight with the two princes.

He told campmates James Haskell and Ian Wright: "I was playing a track and someone came over and said, 'Roman come here', and it was Prince Harry.

"Princess Kate was there and there was a slingshot in the middle.

"They've got a bucket filled with water balloons, and they're just pinging off these water balloons into the crowd from a balcony."

It was at this point that cheeky Prince Harry reportedly encouraged Roman to fire a balloon at his brother William.

"I'm like, 'what is going on?' [Harry] said, 'aim a bit to the left' and I said, 'who am I aiming for?' and he said, 'my brother'," Roman explained.

"I said, 'no I'll be done for treason!'"

Roman isn't the only radio presenter to have had a hilarious encounter with the royals

Earlier this month, we told you how Kate and William told off Greg James for mocking Princess Charlotte on her first day of school.

At the time, Radio 1 Host Greg James poked fun at the Royals and couldn't help but mock the formal greeting as overly "posh".

During his breakfast show yesterday morning, Greg recalled: "I saw the photo [of Charlotte with her headteacher] during the show and said, 'Who the hell shakes hands with their teacher on the first day?'"

Unfortunately for Gregg, it turns out Prince William and Kate Middletonhappened to be listening to him make the comments live on air - and confronted him about it a few weeks later.

Recalling his conversation with Kate and William, he said: "They said: 'We were listening on the morning of little Charlotte's first day and we want to talk to you about the handshaking thing...'

"I went: 'Oh God, no!' They'd heard me saying this school was so posh they had to shake hands with their teacher everyday."
