Worried dad asks his son if he needs help with his maths homework then instantly regrets it – can you solve it?

IF there's one thing many parents have been faced with this year, it's the reality of what their kids' school work actually involves.
Stressed out students have been bringing their work home for the better part of the year thanks to school closures and lockdown, with parents being forced to step in and help.
Worried about his son's stress levels during his first year of A Levels, a doting dad asked what he could to do help, but instantly regretted his offer after seeing his math homework.
The paper has what looks to be a mash up of foreign numbers and words, but it was actually mathematical equations looking to be solved.
Baffled by what he had witnessed, the dad felt it appropriate to share it on in hope other parents might feel the same way - and not one person seemed to work it out.
He wrote: "Are you worried about the stress on our children that schooling during Covid brings? Are you having to help your kids with homework?
I'll mind my own business from now on…
Dad
"We asked our son caringly whether there was anything we could do to help with his maths (I did Maths A Level once upon a time.) He handed my wife this to scan and submit."
And he jokingly added: "I'll mind my own business from now on…"
Other parents were blown away by the complex work with many admitting they were also left scratching their heads in confusion.
One mum admitted: "I realised during homeschooling just how rubbish at Maths I am compared to my 9 year old so I signed up at college to redo my Maths GCSE."
And another said: "I came first in my year for A level maths. I can barely assist my 9 year old these days!!"
Others joked it was as confusing as 2020 has been, and that the equation was the solution to the year we've had - incomprehensible.
While many couldn't even begin to guess what they were looking at, few pointed out it was trigonometry - but that's as far as they got.
"Trigonometry. I tried to help my son with this the other day. Knew the equation but had forgot how to work a scientific calculator to actually get the answer," one person said.
And another confirmed: "Trigonometry! That’s formulas u need to memorize and the way of calculate. I am sure u studied it back in the days like I did and it is normal we don’t remember now but we would if we review it. Don’t feel bad!"
