This means that both Kate and Meghan can use the title Princess of the United Kingdom as their job title.
THE ROYAL LOOPHOLE REVEALED BY BABY ARCHIE'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE
Meghan and Harry have stepped back from their royal duties.
But on son Archie's birth certificate, Meghan is listed as a "princess."
According to Town & Country, only children of the monarch, or grandchildren of the monarch's son's, can carry the title of Prince or Princess with their first names.
However, there is a loophole.
Although Meghan can't technically call herself Princess Meghan, it does not mean she isn't a Princess of the UK.
By marrying Prince Harry she takes on the female equivalent of her husband's title - making her Princess Henry of Wales.
