Meghan and Harry latest – Duke blasts social media for ‘mothership of harassment’ suffered by him and Meghan

- Meghan's texts could reveal truth about letter
- Kate and William’s key aide ‘quits'
- Meghan’s dad calls ‘I love you’ letter a ‘total lie’

HARRY has hit out at social media as he blasted the "mothership of all the harassment" he and wife Meghan Markle have suffered.

His comments followed reports that he and Meghan had quit social media after an "almost unsurvivable" experience of online trolling.

But Harry told the  podcast he and his wife had "no social media to quit," insisting they will return "when it's right for us".

He said: "We will revisit social media when it feels right for us—perhaps when we see more meaningful commitments to change or reform—but right now we’ve thrown much of our energy into learning about this space and how we can help."

    Meghan and Harry launched their podcast late last year after signing a multi-million dollar deal with Spotify.

  • MEG’S DOGS SUPPORTED HER DURING TURBULENT YEAR’

    Caroline Yates, CEO of animal charity Mayhew, which Meghan is a patron, told HELLO!: "Whenever we talk to the Duchess about the charity, she always references how important her dogs are and what a support they are, particularly during everything that's happened this year, with Covid, and with the personal trials and tribulations she went through this year."

    She owns two rescue dogs, a beagle named Guy and a black labrador called Pula.

    The Cambridges go on frequent spider hunts with their daughter as part of her education, it has been revealed.

    Speaking to OK! Magazine, royal expert Katie Nicholl said Kate has an interest in the benefits of outdoor learning.

    "She wants them to get fresh air and be in nature... If they are learning about rivers or the sea, she and William try to incorporate that into their walks," Nicholl said.

    The teaching style suited Charlotte, who was a keen spider enthusiast, very well.

    "They go on spider hunts so that she can see them up close and then let them go," Nicholl said.

    The Duke and Duchess of Sussex honored veterans in a heartwarming note as they donated free lunch to volunteers on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

    Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took a page from the civil rights leader and gave a "small token" of their appreciation to the veterans-led organisation The Mission Continues.

    "In honour of this day of service, and in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and all that he stood for, we want to send our thanks and gratitude to the team at The Mission Continues," a note sent by Harry and Meghan to the organisation.

    "We're so proud of all the work you're doing to support your community and hope you enjoy this small token of our appreciation," the letter read.

    Philip has been left “completely baffled” by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s desperate to leave the royal family, a biographer has claimed.

    The Duke, 36, and Duchess of Sussex, 39, are currently living in California with Archie, one, after stepping down as senior royals in March. 

    Speaking to the Mirror's royal podcast,, Ingrid Seward explains: "Philip welcomed Meghan at the beginning. He was an outsider, he knows what he feels like.

    "He feels he's had a part to play, he can do something useful and help her, but whether he ever managed to do something I don't know.

    "I think he is completely baffled by Harry and Meghan's desperation to leave the royal family. I think he feels they had so much going for them."

    Meghan could have earned as much as half a million for her Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Zoom chat last year, an expert has claimed.

    PR expert Mark Borkowski says that the Duchess of Sussex could have raked in £33,000 a minute at the 15-minute at the £10k-a-head event.

    Speaking exclusively to Fabulous Digital he said: “There is curiosity in anything she does and has to say, her earning potential is very high.

    “I would say she would get anywhere in the region of £250,000 to £500,000 for doing something like that.”

    Patrick J Adams who played Meghan’s on-screen love interest said that he has “pure fear” over speaking to her now she is the Duchess of Sussex. 

    Speaking to the , Patrick said: "Quite frankly, I think I'm intimidated. I have no doubt I could pick up the phone and call her at any moment, but I don't know what I would say.

    "After our children were born, there were some texts sent and gifts sent, but I guess I'm a little scared. I think it's pure fear.

    "I guess I'm scared about the idea of breaking through whatever walls exist to have that conversation."

    Patrick, who was invited to Meghan and Harry’s royal wedding, said that observing Meghan’s life change from an actress to royalty has been “wild.”

    Meghan has dazzled royal fans since marrying Prince Harry - but her former Suits director said she always had an “aura about her that was special.”

    Actor Tim Matheson, 72, directed an episode of Suits back in 2011, which starred Meghan in her role as paralegal Rachel Zane. 

    He told  that it was evident back then that “she was charming and she had an aura about her that was special.”

    Tim, who is best known for The West Wing, said: “I could see that she had a very unique quality and the camera loved her.

    “For me as a director, she was easy to shoot. Just point it in that direction, it’ll be fine.”

    Harry has hit out at social media as he blasted the "mothership of all the harassment" he and wife Meghan Markle have suffered.

    The Duke of Sussex also claimed platforms were responsible for a host of global problems, including the Capitol riots in Washington earlier this month.

    Harry told the  podcast that he and Meghan experienced the nasty side of social media when they got married.  

    He said: "I was really surprised to witness how my story had been told one way, my wife’s story had been told one way, and then our union sparked something that made the telling of that story very different.

    "That false narrative became the mothership for all of the harassment you’re referring to."

    In September, it was reported that Meghan would "seriously consider running or US president" if she and Prince Harry ditched their titles.

    "One of the reasons she was so keen not to give up her American citizenship was so she had the option to go into politics," an insider close to the couple reportedly told 's Katie Nicholl. 

    "I think if Meghan and Harry ever gave up their titles she would seriously consider running for president."

    However, those working close to the Duchess say she has no plans to enter the world of politics.

    One said: “While there’s no denying she is interested and engaged in politics as a topic, she harbours no ambition to enter a career in politics herself."

    Meghan Markle plans to run for office - but not for at least ten years, an expert has claimed.

    Richard Fitzwilliams told the the Duchess has passionate political beliefs - and is a “superb public speaker”.

    “She has been an activist since the age of 11, spoke on gender equality at the United Nations and visited India and Ryana on charitable trips before her marriage," he said.

    “Activism has always been part of her life.

    “In her marriage to Harry she undoubtedly has a kindred spirit."

  • 'CORRECT' FOR MERGHAN TO CALL HERSELF A UK PRINCESS

    As well as becoming Princess Henry of Wales, Meghan is also the female equivalent of the Duke of Sussex.

    Explaining how the system worked for Kate and William, Lucy Hume, associate director at Debrett's, told : "While known as the Duke of Cambridge, he also remains a prince in status as the grandson of the monarch, and it is therefore correct for the Duchess of Cambridge to describe herself as a princess of the United Kingdom."

    This means that both Kate and Meghan can use the title Princess of the United Kingdom as their job title.

    Meghan and Harry have stepped back from their royal duties.

    But on son Archie's birth certificate, Meghan is listed as a "princess."

    According to Town & Country, only children of the monarch, or grandchildren of the monarch's son's, can carry the title of Prince or Princess with their first names.

    However, there is a loophole.

    Although Meghan can't technically call herself Princess Meghan, it does not mean she isn't a Princess of the UK.

    By marrying Prince Harry she takes on the female equivalent of her husband's title - making her Princess Henry of Wales.

  • 'I WAS SPURNED' SAYS MEG'S DAD

    Meghan Markle's heartbroken dad Thomas says he was spurned in a controversial letter which “signalled the end of our relationship”.

    She is said to have written the “painful” note, at the centre of a High Court battle, to her dad after they reached “breaking point”.

    But in a witness statement, Thomas, 76, says: “The letter didn’t say she loved me. It showed no concern about the fact I had suffered a heart attack.”

    Meghan, 39, is suing over the publication of letter extracts.

  • POST-MEGXIT WAS 'DISMAL' FOR COUPLE, SAYS EXPERT

    Meghan and Harry faced a difficult few months after stepping down as senior royals last January, a royal expert has claimed.

    Andrew Morton described it as a "pretty dismal" time, adding: “You could see the trauma etched on their faces. They were barely on speaking terms with William and Charles.

    “If Harry had a real regret, it was how he handled the announcement of stepping back.

    "He pushed the Queen and his father into a corner and it made the whole thing far more dramatic.”

    Kate Middleton has been given a direct phone line to the Queen so she can always ask advice and give updates on her three children with Prince William, it’s reported.

    Royal author Duncan Larcombe claims Kate calls the monarch regularly – and even taught her how to use video calls so she can keep in touch with the rest of the family.

    Speaking to OK! magazine, Duncan said: “Kate has her own direct line to speak to the Queen and she calls her to check in on her and give her updates on the children.

    “She always leans on her for advice.”

    Meanwhile, Princess Diana would reportedly sneak William and Harry out of Kensington Palace – so the young princes could get a McDonald’s.

    Appearing on the Channel 5 documentary William and Kate: Too Good to Be True?, royal expert Simon Vigar said: “Just the chance of going to the burger joint on Kensington High Street, that was a highlight for [William and Harry].

    “They just wanted to do what normal people did. They have a secret door there out of the Palace where they would just slip out unnoticed.”
