A ROYAL expert has said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are "clearly" not making a UK return this Christmas amid the release of their controversial big-money Netflix doc.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle look set to snub King Charles' "olive branches" and remain in the US over the holiday season.

Royal author Phil Dampier told The Sun: “He’s clearly not going to come home for Christmas and I’m sure Charles will be very upset by that and the fact that his olive branches have been rejected.

“It would have been extremely difficult for Harry to rip up his Netflix contract and lose millions of dollars but that’s what he should have done to mend the relationship with his dad.”

The couple's £88million Netflix show looks set to dive into the Sussexes' "love story", and will reportedly hit screens on December 8.

That was my biggest worry coming in, coming from that team background, if the dynamic wasn’t right it is going to make for a bad time, but I had 11 great friends in there. That made for a wicked camp.”
