Prince Harry news – The real reason why Spotify dropped Meghan Markle’s £25m Archetypes podcast deal

SPOTIFY'S CEO has revealed the real reason why the streaming giant dropped Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Archetypes podcast.
It comes as Spotify is looking to drop any content which isn't meeting audience demands as CEO Daniel Ek admitted that the company is "overpaying and overinvesting."
Prince Harry and Meghan have met the same fate as Michelle Obama did last year when her podcast was dropped because it wasn't gathering enough listeners.
"We're going to be very diligent in how we invest in future content deals. And the ones that aren't performing, obviously, we won't renew.
"And the ones that are performing, we will obviously look at those on a case-by-case basis on the relative value," Mr Ek told BBC.

Why is the Order of the Garter called Garter?
According to tradition, the Order was named after an occasion when a woman’s garter fell down while she was in the presence of King Edward.
He is said to have saved her from embarrassment by picking up the garter and putting it on his own leg.
He then said: “Honi soit qui mal y pense,” the French phrase which would later become the Order’s motto.

King ‘offers olive branch’ to Prince Harry
King Charles offered an olive branch to estranged son Prince Harry by posting a photo of him as a kid on Father’s Day.
The poignant 1997 snap shows the monarch with his two sons William and Harry, as boys of 14 and 12, on the Balmoral estate in Scotland.
Royal observer Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun: “The photograph will evoke bittersweet memories. It is of Charles and both of his sons, when they were young, taken in the countryside.
“The body language of all three is fascinating, Harry has made a discovery which Charles and William are both intrigued by.
“There have been so many problems between the Sussexes and the royal family since.
“In posting this photograph, which captures an enchanting and innocent moment they all once shared, King Charles is surely sending a sensitive message to his wayward son about what really matters and where his real loyalties should lie.
“He is also reminding William on this very special day of how very different things once were between him and Harry. They too, once shared precious family moments! Could they again?”

William on making his children aware of harsh realities
Prince William is trying to teach his children that away from Palace walls, there are people with different realities and harsher truths.
Speaking with The Times, he explained how he tries to make them aware of the difficult living situations other are suffering: “When I left this morning, one of the things I was thinking was, ‘When is the right time to bring George or Charlotte or Louis to a homeless organisation?’ I think when I can balance it with their schooling, they will definitely be exposed to it
“On the school run, we talk about what we see. When we were in London, driving backwards and forwards, we regularly used to see people sitting outside supermarkets and we’d talk about it.
“I’d say to the children, ‘Why are they there? What’s going on?’ I think it’s in all our interests, it’s the right thing to do, to expose the children, at the right stage, in the right dialogue, so they have an understanding.
“They [will] grow up knowing that actually… some of us are very fortunate, some of us need a little bit of a helping hand, some of us need to do a bit more where we can to help others improve their lives.”

Charles has shown a 'whole new level of confidence' since becoming King, body language expert claims
King Charles has shown a new side to himself since becoming monarch, a body language expert has said.
And this was on full display during the Trooping the Colour celebrations over the weekend.
“Charles took on a very dominant posture as he stood on the balcony alongside his family," Darren Stanton told
"In previous years, Charles hasn’t been the most confident of people, which showed in his body language. However, since becoming King, he has taken on a whole new level of confidence. In terms of his body language over the weekend, it was extremely strong and positive.
"There were no signs of nervousness and he didn’t display any pacifying gestures, which are signals of nerves and uneasiness. His shoulders were also up and back. He appeared very powerful. A lot of his body language was consistent with somebody who wants to make themselves look important.
“Charles has clearly grown into the role of King with confidence and ease. He has been waiting his whole life to take on the position, therefore it was almost like a natural step for Charles."
