‘Brace yourselves’ shoppers warn as Easter eggs are spotted in supermarkets a whopping four months early

CHRISTMAS Day is just around the corner and many of us are most likely thinking about presents, Turkey and the tasty box of Heroes we’ve got just waiting to be opened.

However, shoppers have been warned to ‘brace themselves’, as Easter eggs (yes, you heard that correctly), have been spotted in supermarkets.

It's four months before the Easter weekend and with Christmas chocolate still flooding the shelves, many have been left totally stunned at the finding.

One shopper, who was shocked when she spotted Mini Eggs chocolate eggs in her local Tesco, took to social media to alert other shoppers.

Posting on social media, on , a private Facebook group with a whopping 2.3 million members, Ria Phillips shared a picture of the Easter eggs and wrote: “Brace yourselves people ....”

She then added: “Easter is on its way ...

So if you’re a chocolate fan and can’t get enough of Easter eggs, you’ll need to move fast to get your sweet treat fix.

Ria shared her post just four hours ago, but it has clearly left many people stunned, as it has quickly amassed 504 likes and 155 comments.

But social media users were left stunned that Easter eggs were on the shelves in December, which many took to the comments to express. 

People called it a ‘joke’ and thought it was ‘way too early’. 

One person said: “What a joke.”

Another added: “They put them out way too early if you ask me.”

A third commented: “Christmas ain't even been and gone yet.”

Whilst someone else chimed in: “No way.” 

Another shopper suggested: “Fab, might nip out and buy everyone Easter eggs as a last minute Christmas gift, the world has truly gone mad.” 

Meanwhile, a retailer worker even penned: “I work in a supermarket and we get 7 cages of Easter stock every year on Christmas Eve.” 

Whilst another supermarket employee shared: “When I worked in a shop on Boxing Day....Easter eggs were always on delivery.”
