One person thought they'd found an epic deal when they spotted 60 of the froggy bars for £11.95 online - down from £18.

However, in the comments section on the post, someone else revealed they'd spotted the sweet treats for just 18p each.

"89p for 5 in home bargains," the woman wrote.

"You are now my best friend for this, thank you," one person commented.

"Just bought a pack for grandkids," another added.

"Get stocked up!" a third wrote, tagging a friend.

In the description of the Freddos on the Low Price Foods website, they wrote: "Say hello to Cadbury's Freddo - the hippest chocolate frog from the 1970s.

"Made from high-quality Cadbury Dairy Milk, Freddo packs fun, personality and creamy deliciousness in every bite.

"An ideal treat for chocolate lovers seeking an element of character in their sweets, Freddo offers a blast of the classic Cadbury taste that's crafter from authentic, real milk.

"Bite into this vibrant, delectable chocolate frog today!"

The ones being sold on Low Price Foods also appear to be the Christmas version - with the frog wearing a red hat and the word 'Freddo' surrounding by 'snow'.

The Freddos are also the ideal low calorie treat - as they are just 95 calories per bar.

It's been estimated that if the cost of living crisis continues, and prices continue to rise, Freddo bars will be priced at a staggering 38p each by 2030.

However, if the price had risen in line with inflation, a Freddo would cost 20p by 2030 - according to a report from Vouchercloud.

When the Freddo bar was relaunched in the 1990s, it was 10p.

It stayed at this price until 2005, but has risen by approximately 2p a year until reaching the current price of 25p.

The weight of the bar has also changed over the years too.
