HE may have quit The Apprentice and squandered any chance of winning Lord Sugar’s £250k investment, but Scott Saunders insists it’s the best thing he ever did.

The 36-year-old has since launched his own social media platform after feeling “undervalued” in BBC1’s iconic boardroom.

The entrepreneur, who was on the show in 2015, has shared clips from the moment he “fired” Lord Alan Sugar on TikTok.

Sitting in the boardroom before a tongue lashing from the business magnate, Scott said: “I would like to exit the process at this point.”

Other hopefuls were shocked and questioned his decision, but he grabbed his briefcase and hopped in a cab before anyone could change his mind.

“A partnership isn’t 50/50 if you feel undervalued and that your potential business partner hasn’t got the vision,” Scott penned in the caption of the clip, which has one million reviews.

“Remove yourself from them immediately, work even harder and do it yourself if you have to.

“That’s what I did and I started the first payroll comparison sites in the uk which changed how contractors seek payroll since.”

Alongside his payroll software, Scott also launched an “ad free” social media platform named Busihubs.

He claims now that the minute he left the boardroom is the minute his “business career began”.

But it wasn’t a premeditated decision - he made the decision while sitting across from Lord Sugar.

“I hadn’t actually come to the decision of quitting at all until I went into the boardroom,” Scott revealed in an interview with shortly after his Apprentice departure nine years ago.

“I actually decided while Lord Sugar was talking to the other team about their performance, that’s when I made my decision.

“The funny thing is, I don’t think it was a snap decision.

'WASTE TIME'

“The process of the boardroom is quite long.

“I sat there and decided on certain aspects of it.

“I wasn’t as passionate as I had been in previous tasks as well.

“I knew I wasn’t really feeling the process so much either.

“I didn’t want to waste anybody’s time.

“There’s people there that deserve the opportunity - if I wasn’t fully committed then it’s not fair."
