Cleaning fans rave about 30p hack that will get your grubby patio sparkling in no time – and you won’t need a jet washer

WITH spring finally here and the weather slowly getting warmer - if you fancy having guests round but your patio is in need of a clean, you’ve come to the right place.
And don’t worry, if you are short on time and cash, we’ve got just what you need.
While a jet washer is great for banishing mess, moss and algae from patios, if you’re on a budget, here’s a super simple 30p hack that you’ll need to try.
It comes after a woman took to social media to ask for advice on how to clean her patio.
Posting on , a private Facebook group with a whopping 232,600 members, Jade Elizabeth shared two images of her grubby patio and asked cleaning fans for tips on how to get it looking fresh again.
She penned: “My patio furniture has rusted on my new patio over the winter.
“I’ve tried all household products I can think of, has anyone got any ideas how I can remove this? Thanks.”
Luckily for Jade, cleaning fans flooded the comments, sharing their tips and tricks to get dirty patios sparkling in no time.
And don’t worry, you won’t need a jet washer with any of these simple hacks.
A popular solution, that was suggested by a handful of Facebook users, will cost you just 30p - lemon juice.
One person said: “Bicarb and lemon juice.”
Another added: “Rub half a lemon and salt over the area then let the sunshine bleach it. If it doesn’t work the first attempt, do it again.”
A third commented: “My old go to is a pile of salt, squeeze on lemon juice, leave in the sun, squeeze on more lemon juice, leave in the sun. I keep doing this until the stain is gone.”
If you haven’t got any lemons at home in your fruit bowl already, you can pick one up for just 30p from Tesco.
At the same time, a variety of other cleaning options were offered - from Elbow Grease to The Pink Stuff.
One cleaning enthusiast claimed: “Elbow Grease spray and scourer worked for me.”
A second advised: “Pour white vinegar on the rust, let sit for a few minutes and scrub, it’ll come off!”
