This is what Orange Is The New Black’s Angie Rice looks like in real life… and her teeth are VERY different

Actress Julie Lake revealed her transformation to becoming 'meth head' Angie takes minutes thanks to a few quick make-up tricks

WITH greasy hair and unmissable yellow teeth, Angie Rice on Orange Is The New Black is well known for stirring up trouble with fellow inmate Leanne.

But fans have been shocked after seeing what stunning actress Julie Lake looks like in real life – and her jawdropping transformation doesn’t take as long as you may think.

The beautiful actress achieves her striking jail look using fake teeth that are stained with foul-coloured paint.

Julie said to : “The teeth [are] really fast. They have a palate of colours that's like tobacco stain, nicotine, coffee, dark greens, yellows and browns, it's disgusting.”

Unlike her cast mate Francesca Curran, who has to undergo an hour-long process to become “Skinhead Helen” each day, Julie said her makeunder routine is surprisingly quick.

She said: “I wish I could say it takes three hours to make me look hideous, but it’s probably like .. the make-up alone is two minutes and the hair is two.”

Julie admitted that her look is so different from her usual appearance that she rarely gets recognised for her role as the meth head in the show.

Thankfully her husband has come to terms with the teeth and hair, and even got a cameo in the show as her boyfriend.

She said that casting directors had been looking for someone to be her on-screen beau who was going to help her smuggle drugs into jail.

In the show his character kissed her so she could swallow the narcotics being held in his mouth and later fish out the drugs from her faeces.

She said: “When they were casting that part, they were like, 'Do you have a friend you want to make out with? We don't want to give you a random extra in case you're uncomfortable.'

“I brought my husband, so now he's in the show and he created a whole character for himself, he calls himself Bison, he hopes they'll bring him back.”

Orange Is The New Black is Julie’s first big TV role, along with starring in the series Boomtown.
