First Dates waitress Laura Tott is an ambulance technician… and used to be in the Navy
The Surrey-born star revealed her day job on Instagram

SHE’S a First Dates favourite who helps calm the nerves of anxious singletons.
But when she’s not waitressing or playing cupid on the Channel 4 show, Laura Tott has a very interesting day job.
The Surrey-born star has revealed she is an ambulance technician. She recently posted a photo on Instagram of her in her uniform, writing: "Last night shift before 18 days off. I'm happier than I look I promise!"
She also posted a snap of her and her colleagues for New Year’s Eve.
An ambulance technician is “a member of the emergency ambulance crew, responding to 999 calls”, according to the NHS.
They are required to “work alongside an emergency care assistant or a paramedic" and provide “patients with potentially life-saving care at the scene and get them to hospital as fast as possible”.
Laura also joined the Royal Navy, with HMS Raleigh in Cornwall, in 2015.
Two years ago, she posted a group shot on a Navy ship and wrote: “Exactly a year ago today I joined the Royal Navy.
“I made some of the best and craziest friends. I'm so proud of all of you and I miss you so much.”
She did not go to university, and describes herself as a "graduate of the University of Life".
