MEGHAN Markle has revealed her second stunning look of the Royal Wedding day, in a halter-neck sleeveless fishtail dress by Stella McCartney.

The new Duchess of Sussex opted for an elegant figure-skimming full-length gown for the evening reception at Frogmore House.

Leaving behind her gorgeous Givenchy couture day gown, the new bride wowed in another bespoke British creation.

And in another touching tribute to Princess Diana, already having forget-me-nots in her bouquet, Meghan wore her emerald-cut aquamarine ring.

The huge sparkler could be seen on Meghan’s right hand as she waved to crowds in the open top jag.

Her evening choice is made of lily-white silk crepe and features a high, halter-style neck.

Princess Diana's ring: Harry follows Mum's wishes to the letter

Meghan blinds us with an aquamarine emerald-cut ring once owned by Princess Diana - a loving tribute to an adored mum by groom Harry.

The 1997 Asprey 24-carat gold ring worn by Diana on a number of occasions and created especially for her was one of many pieces left by the Princess of Wales to her sons.

Clearly ready for a dance, Meghan also swapped her towering Givenchy six-inch heels for a pair from Aquazurra made in silky satin with nude mesh and baby blue soles.

The overall effect? A very modern princess staying true to her elegant yet modern style.

By choosing British designer Clare Waight Keller for her wedding dress and fellow Brit Stella McCartney for her evening gown, Meghan clearly shows she has her eye firmly on our talent pool of style ambassadors.

Who is Stella McCartney? The creative genius behind Megan’s evening dress

Stella McCartney, the London-born daughter of Beatle Paul and photographer Linda, first made a name for herself studying fashion at Central Saint Martins alongside model pals Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss.

With her stand-out style and famous mates, Stella’s designs were soon snapped up by fashion houses such as Browns and Joseph.

In 1997 McCartney was appointed Creative Director of Paris fashion house Chloe and went on to launch her own fashion house in 2001, opening 17 stores..

As well as fashion projects, Stella has developed her own skincare line, CARE, and a fragrance range.

There is nothing she won’t put her hand to, from mainline fashion and lingerie to kidswear and high street collaborations with stores like H&M and Adidas.

Stella was the first leading designer to become fashion director for Team GB in 2012, going on to design the British kit for both the Olympics and the Paralympics.

With a client list as famous as her father, Stella is no stranger to creating designer showpieces that will be viewed time and time again the world over.

She was also responsible for the guest outfits of Amal Clooney and Oprah earlier in the day - and it comes as no surprise she was in the running for Meghan’s second wedding creation.

When Meghan re-emerged, off came the delicate 15-foot veil - that took Givenchy craftspeople hundreds of hours to make - and her hair was again styled in an up-do by George Northwood, following the sleek low bun it was coiffed into for the ceremony.

Held at Frogmore House, half a mile from from Windsor Castle, and hosted by Prince Charles, the evening reception is a more intimate affair.

The guest list has been trimmed, and only 250 out of the earlier crowd of 600 are expected to attend tonight's party.

The fashion verdict

Meghan promises to be a very modern princess - and this second gown reflects that freshness to a tee.

Simple, sexy, elegant - and breaking with tradition by having her shoulders on show - I absolutely love this high-necked Stella McCartney gown.

Meghan's choice of designers shows her love of clean lines and subtle yet effective cuts - seen in both her dress choices for the big day.

In particular, this modern design paired with such classic styling makes Meghan a Royal knockout.

Both gowns have been strong, unfussy and striking - top marks from me.
