Oscars 2019: Sheer, see-through fabrics dominate red carpet fashion
Amandla Stenberg, Constance Wu and Kacey Musgraves all embraced the risque trend

IT MAY still be winter, but these celebs clearly aren't fussed - as sheer, see-though fabrics were all the rage on the Oscars 2019 red carpet.
Metallic dresses, black ball gowns and tulle were all common themes at tonight's Academy Awards - but it was the sheer frocks which really made an impact.
Amandla Stenberg, 20, who starred in The Hate U Give and presented an award tonight, wowed in a nude slip dress with chainmail detailing.
The 20s-inspired Miu Miu gown had fringe detailing from top to bottom and wouldn't look out of place in one of Jay Gatsby's infamous parties.
While Think Like A Man actress Meagan Good, 37, also embraced the risque trend in a pastel pink ballgown with nude mesh cutouts.
And singer SZA, 28, wore a ruffled layered dress which included a mini skirt finish on the top layer and a sheer underlay.
SZA, whose real name is Solana Rowe, also rocked a thigh-high slit to complete the look.
Iron Man actress Leslie Bibb, 44, meanwhile, wore a custom-made Armani gown with roses patterns and sheer detailing.
She was on the red carpet with her long-term partner Sam Rockwell, 50, who had a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Vice.
Constance Wu, of Crazy Rich Asians fame, wore a Cinderella-esque canary yellow ballgown with sheer skirt.
The 36-year-old actress' custom-made Atelier Versace pleated gown was trimmed in crystals on the off-shoulder neckline and complimented by Neil Lane jewellery.
Singer Kacey Musgraves, 30, wore a tulle cloud dress by Italian designer Giambattista Valli to the star-studded event, which some cruelly compared to a loofah.
Jaime Newman, 40, donned a stunning black gown by Oscar de la Renta - with a nude bodice and black lace detailing.
She most recently starred in now-axed Netflix series The Punisher.
