You’ve been making your beans on toast all wrong — as Heinz releases step-by-step guide

HEINZ has created a step-by-step guide to making beans on toast — because one in five people has no idea how.
Bosses at the food giant, which sells 2.5 million cans of baked beans a day, said despite it being a simple dish, some folk need help making it.
A recent survey found 20 per cent of Brits had never made the meal and lack the confidence to do so.
So Heinz put their official five-point recipe on their website to help.
But driving instructor Stephen Bremner, 34, of St Albans, Herts, said it was ridiculous that a recipe had to be provided.
He said: “Put bread in toaster, heat up beans in pan, butter toast, put beans on toast, eat.

"If someone needs more information than that, then I truly despair for the nation.”
A spokesman for Heinz said the recipe was put together by one of just four people in the world who know the Heinz Beanz’s secret recipe — a bloke named only as Paul.
He said: “Beans on toast are a cornerstone of British cuisine. Our simple instructions will guarantee tasty results.”
