Then the airline loses your luggage and you have to spend more money to buy clothes until you get your suitcase back.

It’s based on the latest data by the Office of Aviation Enforcement and Proceedings at the U.S. Department of Transportation.
1) American Airlines
Other than the fact that American Airlines doesn’t allow you to pay for your bags when you check in online, they also have
been known to lose your luggage.

According to Luggage Forward, American Airlines lost 158,663 bags in 2014. Although that’s a lot, it looks like they may have been making changes.
In 2013 they lost 205,060 bags and according to the U.S. Department of Transportation, American Airlines has reported a total of 34,029 baggage reports in 2016.
2) Delta Air Lines
Delta is doing really badly. As many as 16,340 reports were filed, according to the March 2016 data it still is the third worst airline when it comes to lost luggage but, the company is actually doing a little better. There were 22,938 reports filed the previous year.
3) United Airlines
According to the mishandled baggage reports filed by passengers, United Airlines had 15,931 bags reported missing. That’s 2.58 bags per 1,000 passengers.
