FAST food fans will be delighted to hear that McDonald's is trialling their delivery service again, so you won't even have to leave the house to get your hands on a Big Mac.

And if you love nuggets but hate the effort of walking to the nearest Maccies to get your hands on them, then this may just be the best news you read all day.

However, there is a catch for British fast food enthusiasts, as the delivery trial hasn't yet made its way to Britain - although there are hopes the service will be available here before too long.

Customers in New Zealand are the latest to be offered McDonald's meals delivered straight to their door, although we'll have to be patient until we get to join our Kiwi cousins and get the same special treatment.

On the McDonald's website they explain: "We are committed to serving our customers hot food, fresh from the kitchen.

"We have trialled delivery services both at select locations in the UK and in a number of European markets, but it is currently not a priority for the UK."

And before you get your hopes up, the firm isn't too keen on allowing third-party delivery companies to drop their food off at your front door either.

McDonald's says that if an "unauthorised company" started delivering their food, then they "would not be able to guarantee the quality of the food or that it would be delivered with the high level of customer service we would expect."

The fast food giant already offers a delivery service in Thailand and Australia, and the iconic company is clearly keen on expanding their operation at some point in the future.

For now however, hungover Brits will have to drag themselves out of bed before they can get their hands on a Saturday morning McDonald's.
