And one gun-wielding army man has proved just how sly and secretive the force can be during the call of duty.
A new brainteaser has tasked the internet with spotting a hidden officer in an overgrown woodland scene.
The mind-boggling clip was created by Brent Dowling and posted to on 12 July.
Brent has made over 70 videos detailing how to create the perfect camouflage for different landscapes.
His films have racked up over 200,000 views collectively.
The latest puzzle, which is just under two minutes long, begins with a peaceful shot of a forest covered in sunshine.
Seconds later, an armed soldier, who was previously perfectly camouflaged, emerges from the bushes.
Earlier this week Facebook users were driven crazy after being asked to find a mobile phone which had been placed on top of a floral rug.
The image was shared over 15,000 times and liked by more than 119,000 social media users.
