Manchester is now a BETTER place to live than London
The northern city was placed at number 43 in the annual Global Liveability Ranking by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIUn)

SO it isn’t as grim up north as you may think.
Manchester is now a better place to live than London, according to the annual Global Liveability Ranking by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIUn), which scouts out the world’s best cities.
The home of Coronation Street and Oasis placed at number 43, which was above San Francisco and Seattle as well as a whopping 10 places ahead of the British capital.
London, which finished behind Iceland's capital Reykjavik, slumped down the scale due to the increased threat of terrorism and petty crime.
Melbourne remains the most liveable city, followed by Vienna, Vancouver and Toronto.
The worst place to live is Syria's war-torn capital, Damascus.
The EIUn provides scores for lifestyle challenges in 140 cities worldwide.
