Remember Gretchen Wieners from Mean Girls? This is what she’s up to now

Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried are all household names... but what happened to the other gang member?

SHE was Queen Bee Regina George’s badly-treated best friend, whose dad invented toaster strudel and whose hair was full of embarrassing teenage secrets.

And despite being unable to wear hoop earrings, use the word ‘fetch’, or stand up for herself at all – Gretchen Wieners was many people’s favourite Mean Girls character.

While Rachel McAdams, as Regina, and Lindsay Lohan’s character Cady Heron plotted and schemed, the well-intentioned Gretchen and Karen Smith floated through high school trying to maintain their popularity.

It’s been 14 years since one of the world’s best known, and most quoted, chick flicks hit cinema screens.

Tina Fey’s film catapulted some of the movie's cast onto the Hollywood radar.

Rachel has gone on to star in The Notebook, Red Eye, The Time Traveller’s Wife and Sherlock Holmes.

While Amanda Seyfried has had leading roles in Mamma Mia!, Dear John, Red Riding Hood, Les Miserables and Ted 2.

But what has their co-star Lacey Chabert, who played Gretchen, gone on to do?

Lacey is now 33, and has been married to husband David Nehdar for almost three years.

She is currently heavily pregnant, and due to give birth any day.

Lacey was a child star in Party of Five and voiced Meg Griffin in the first series of Family Guy, before Mila Kunis took over.

She has also kept busy since Mean Girls – with a variety of acting and voice-over roles, even if they are slightly lower key than Amanda and Rachel.

Lacey voiced Gwen Stacy in TV series The Spectacular Spider-Man, appeared in Transformers: Rescue Bots for five years, and had a regular role on ABC sitcom Baby Daddy.
