You’ve been brushing your teeth wrong your entire life
You should never rinse out, use mouthwash after brushing, or drink water

IF you’re looking after your teeth correctly you will have brushed them twice a day, every day, for your entire life.
But, strangely enough, you may have been doing it wrong all this time.
Advice given by dental experts, and , suggests you should NEVER rinse your mouth out straight after brushing.
Doing so would wash away the concentrated fluoride in the remaining toothpaste, diluting it and stopping it from working.
Experts advise that you spit out any excess toothpaste, but don’t rinse your mouth out.
For the same reason, you should also never use mouthwash straight after brushing.
Mouthwashes containing fluoride can help prevent tooth decay but, even if it does contain fluoride, don’t use it straight after brushing your teeth.
Choose a different time to use your mouthwash, such as after lunch.
And don’t eat or drink for half an hour after using a fluoride mouthwash.
Flossing
Believe it or not, the best time to floss is before – not after – brushing your teeth.
You can also use interdental brushes to remove trapped food from between your teeth.
But never use a toothpick as this could damage your gums, and lead to an infection.
