Fuming woman accuses high street chain H&M of using curved mirrors that make customers look FATTER

The angry woman took to Facebook to express her unhappiness at the mirrors in the store

CUSTOMERS often complain about unrealistic mirrors in clothing stores.

For the most part, people complain that the mirrors are angled to make their reflections look thinner, but not this woman.

She uploaded wrote an open letter to H&M complaining that the mirrors in their store made her look FATTER.

The angry woman took to Facebook to express her unhappiness at the mirrors in the store with two photos, one in which she claimed the mirror expressed a true likeness and another where she believed she looked fatter.

Struggling to tell the difference between the two images?

You're not alone, the photo that was later shared to the picture sharing site has stirred a great deal of controversy.

The image, that describes the mirrors in the H&M store as having "no place outside of a fairground fun house," has now been viewed more than 310,000 times on the site.

The unnamed woman, who describes herself as 5ft 7" and a size 14, insists that the photo on the left makes her look larger than she really is.

Users have dismissed the womans claims as mislead.

Sionas wrote: "She was literally standing farther away lmao. What an idiot."

Another user made a valid point that also disproves this woman's claims.

"Why would a store have mirrors that make people appear shorter/fatter? Wouldn't that be awful marketing?" wrote judassong.

It is true that in recent months many retailers have been subject to outraged customers after they revealed that they curved mirrors to make customers look thinner, but nowhere has ever been accused of the opposite before.

Some Imgur users posted their own harsh opinions on the photo.

iShoot762 argued: "What makes her look short and fat...is being short and fat. Her words not mine."

ignishin explained a potential reason for why the image may appear distorted.

They wrote: "The angle in which you hold your phone heavily distorts your perspective."

This video, which uses Photoshop to impose the images on top of one another, reveals that the woman is actually the same size in both pictures.

The disgruntled customer appears to be mistaken.

When The Sun contacted H&M about the story, the high-street retailer refused to comment.
