Fifty Shades lingerie is launched by Coco de Mer… and the racy lace undies are meant to show ‘Ana’s growing sexual confidence’
The luxury brand hopes the collection will give women more confidence

A SEXY new lingerie line is celebrating the release of one of the hottest new blockbuster, Fifty Shades Darker.
The saucy items, designed by Coco de Mer, have been created to give women the confidence to embrace their inner Anastasia Steele, the film’s bold heroine.
The sequel, to E. L. James’ first bestselling novel, Fifty Shades of Grey, is already causing a stir online.
In the first 24 hours after the trailer was released, it was viewed a record-breaking 114 million times.
Coco de Mer’s racy line is bound to be a hit, as it’s being released ahead of the new movie.
Each piece has been specially designed with the Fifty Shades protagonist in mind, Ana.
The collection is priced between £15-£60 and includes intricate lace, satin and embroidered details.
From playful teddies, to halter-neck bras to plunging corsets, there’s no doubt that these items would cause a stir in the bedroom.
Taking inspiration from the character in the popular trilogy, the intimate clothing represents Ana finally taking control of her dominant lover Christian Grey.
In excitement for the launch of the new fashion collection, E. L. James said: “Fifty Shades Darker lingerie really captures Ana's sexual awakening. It is luxurious, deeply provocative and elegantly erotic.”
The author even claims that she had the luxury lingerie brand in mind as she wrote the novels.
E. L. James revealed: “I took inspiration from Coco de Mer when I was writing the books and visited the boutique in Covent Garden as part of my research.”
A spokesperson for Coco de Mer added: “Fifty Shades Darker documents Anastasia's growth in self-worth which has a knock-on effect on her relationship with Christian.
“She is now more in control - it's as if the roles have been reversed.
“Ana starts to uncover her underlying sexual desires - becoming more liberated in and out of the bedroom.
“Taking inspiration from the Seattle skyline and the pivotal masquerade ball, the collection focuses on empowering women while celebrating femininity and sophistication.”
