If you've got an appetite for adventure then this new job from National Rail might be for you

There is just one catch - you’ll need to be a student to apply.

The new employee will get to make trips to world-famous destinations, for example, the Hampton Court Maze, trampolining in Snowdonia, indulging at the world-famous Choccywoccydoodah chocolate shop or surfing along the Jurassic Coast.

It says that key requirements for the role, which has been created by National Rail to publicise the 16-25 Railcard, include an “adventurous spirit, a natural curiosity for new places and a desire to share travel experiences with the world”.

The 16-25 Railcard costs £30 a year and saves a third off rail fares. It is available to anyone aged 16-25 or anyone over 25 in full-time study.

Daniela Maki, product manager from National Rail, said: “Getting paid to travel is a lot of people’s dream job and now we are making it a reality for one lucky person.

"We are looking for a real adventurer, someone who lives to explore new places and loves telling the world about their exciting travels.”

“Our new CAO will get the chance to visit some really amazing locations and inspire us all by showing the exciting places Great Britain has on offer.

"So if your suitcase is always by the door, just in case, and you are looking for your next adventure this is the perfect new job for you.”

Applicants need to be aged between 16 and 25 years old or over 25 but studying full-time.

If you’re interested in applying you’ll need to by Sunday 16 October.
